Plunderstorm kills being completely worthless early/mid game is bad

Nope. Why?

None has levels. That’s not the point of the game.
Leveling increases the RNG of a BR even more, more than it needs to have.

I’d argue mid game kills can be somewhat worthwhile since the number of mobs to kill have already gone down a lot by the time everyone’s level 5-6. In many cases, other players are the only targets that aren’t 250 yards away (esp if you had to land on the east side of the map)

I just try to survive as long as possible, farm as much mobs and gold as possible, and pick abilities to help run away/vanish and attack powers to clear AoE mobs. When there are sparse gold piles and mobs to farm, I either run into the storm or /dance in front of someone so they can kill me, take my stuff, and continue their game. Depends on my mood if I give them the kill or troll them.

So how do you avoid campers?

You learn where they camp and clear rooms, as well as have more detailed / meaningful item progression / have items have durabilities so people are constantly upgrading and acquiring new powers.

you’re right, i’m going to use all of my mobility skills that i’ve gathered during my time in the match and run deep into the storm where you won’t be able to get any of my plunder :grinning:

*Small correction: I will chase someone if they start attacking me first because they need punished for harming a femtauren.

Sounds boring

Mid game kills are fair, most of mine were, ā€œI saw this guy using an ability I want or need to level, killing them is direct power gain.ā€ In doing so, gains skill levels which improve chances of killing more and succeeding.

Probably better at this point than ā€œOh hey hes 3 levels higher guess I dieā€

If hes 3 levels higher, you weren’t playing the game

Least you have a chance to compete unlike WoW Battlegrounds where an ilvl 500 ques up and just instantly demolishes.

I would argue they shouldn’t offer any epic powers until 1 min into the game though because that is when its broken.

Landed on a spot that had 2 epic chests and got epic stun twister and epic starbomb and just started to one shot everything. Then there’s games where i get nothing and immediately die to someone with an epic.

It’s just another data point to that shows a majority of players don’t want to play pvp.

Ok, I have to admit that Blizzard was pretty responsive with this feedback.

I have new feedback.

1:) The fact that there isn’t plunder in every chest but only in Golden Chests is a travesty
2:) We should have double plunder, but only on days that end with ā€œyā€
3:) maybe add a second plunder counter with XP bonuses (this one rolls over at 25, new one maybe at 100 or 150) that gives an additional xp bonus, as it is only kill leaders or players that are lucky enough to have entire portions of the map to themselves are able to reliably get to level 10 and that can make certain endgame standoffs feel awful
4:) as an alternative maybe just cap levels at 8 and increase the amount of plunder people drop at all levels
