Pls change blitz capture point maps

it is literally trolling to pvp on these maps. rather the default versions of these maps because you’re at least incentivized to fight for longer than 3 seconds

Ya blitz isn’t exactly a game mode for fun fights. So unfortunate

Elise means:

  • 5 objectives are too many for 8 people
  • 45 second invulnerability timer isn’t long enough to encourage leaving a base
  • 4 second cap timers are too short when Rogues exist

It’s almost like the mode would be better with 2 more dps a side and/or ORIGINAL MAPS made for the mode

Only BS/LM/Mines should be capturable bases on Arathi. Only Ruins/Market/Farm on DWG.

The non used bases would be Alliance/Horde GYs or have some sort of raid-wide buff mechanic. Like pick up a chest and everyone on your team gets a brief power up.

Not for DWG in many cases. Particularly if there is any fighting involved at all. Just as might as well sit the base if people continue assaulting it.

Two node rotation works in AB, if light or no fighting.

I’m not sure deactivating two bases is the way to go. Something needs to be changed, but I’m not sure what they can do.

When people keep track of what is active and not active on both teams there are often fights at the nodes, but typically small fights. 1v1s, 2v2s. Overcommitting with numbers to any team fight is good way to lose a match.

Problem is most people have poor map awareness. That is a problem that MMR might end up solving.

The week Blitz was released I played my way up to 2k mmr and was in games with the front page RBG crowd

Same cap and stall meta everyone does. Very few deaths. Everyone splits over 5 bases. Try to CC>cap instead of killing enemy team

Yes, in non-ending team fights with competent healers spamming the flag and going for CC caps is definitely the way to go. With higher MMR people, BGB is closer to ten man rated BGs than random BGs.

Ah, I think I might get what you are saying. The concern is that when people do have good map awarenss, the teams spread out and the games are largely determined by small fights at the different nodes where who wins the CC cap battle determines the winner rather than who wins actual fights.

That is true in many cases. CC cap the flag and just stall until it is inactive. But, if you lose the fight while it is inactive or just leave they should end up getting the next cap on that node. So, in my experience even when you CC cap a node, often times the best thing to do is stay and fight for the next cap if the enemy is still there.

Quite honestly the way flags work is fine. Why? Because nobody wants to base sit. I agree the maps may be to big. But a lot of this I feel is people still trying to treat these maps like the normal ones. I think the issue is groups tent to focus on a few bases instead of watching the timers of when bases expire. I end up with 5+ flag captures almost every match because both sides seem to all go to one base.

Interesting I am surprised the “front page” of the RBG crowd even plays the mode. Most of them hate the idea of it.

People seem to want BGB to be RBGs. This mode honestly appeals to more than just the hardcore PvPer, which is what we want. Again the way flags work on AB and DWG is actually a good change, just might need some adjustments. Maybe rotating flags like EOTS somehow or something. But I still see a lot of people going to bases that are 45 seconds from being open instead of going to bases that are about to open or are open. Why? Because they are playing it like a strategic RBG going for bases like BS etc instead of watching timers and rotating.

current bgb is praying you dodge AB and DWG so you can kill foxes

sit in 15 min queue, get into a game, press a total of two void torrents, win the cross country tournament, win game after 7 minutes

exhilarating I’m gonna queue again

^ When you have enough people doing this on both sides, you end up with contested nodes.

I keep seeing comments like this but with all the BGB I queue I don’t seem to lack having chances to kill players.

Team fighting is griefing

Definitely get what you are saying here, but a good part of that is the enemy team not having good map awareness. Maybe something can be done to help “funnel” people to where they need to be a bit better.

There are often some very boring matches as described.

I swear there a lot of PvPers that will never just be happy with anything. You could give them exactly what they ask for and they would still complain.

I am going to keep saying this, so many people don’t know how to play these maps yet, which ends up having games where I can run around capping every flag there is because I am watching timers while the other 15 people are all at one node that isn’t even open yet. It happens a lot.
