Pls bring back mop cloak, WoD ring, MT weap, CM armor, mount , weap megathread

one could say the same thing about the swift zulian tiger… blizzard announced it was going away with cata release and removal of ZG, then it was put back in the BMAH 3 years later.

Or nax t3…announced removal on release of WOTLK, only to return to the BMAH years later.

Why put some things back and not others?

  1. Sheer laziness: not wanting to put the effort into re-tuning CModes for new expansions;

and

  1. Players complaining about losing prestige = basically no one had t3 sets, so there was no one to complain about them coming back…anyone who had the zulian tiger (like myself) didn’t care if it were to come back, so no one made any noise about it.

Different things are different. Blizzard not only announced the MT appearances would be unavailable after Legion, they reaffirmed it, and then reaffirmed it yet again when timewalking MT was launched.

Blizzard also announced that mounts such as “Illidari Felstalker” and “Seabraid Stallion” obtained by purchasing the collector’s edition of Legion and BFA would not be obtainable again…

But here we are, both of those mounts are now on the wowshop.

If you had to ask me, the reason for things remaining unobtainable directly correlates to how much complaining people do about their “prestige”.

That doesn’t really change my point though. Is it or is it not a good for Blizzard to tell players one thing and then pull the rug from under the players to reveal their actual plan? If no, then they should stick to what they said. If yes, then that’s just admitting that it’s okay for Blizzard to lie if they meet yours and others personal interests even if it comes at the expense of others. Which it 100% does regardless of what the opposite side wants.

I can also say there are outliers. I wouldn’t mind seeing the WoD ring (which isn’t even cosmetic or grant a significant power boost so I’m not even sure why it’s a point of extreme interest) or the Brutosaur mount making a return to the game. But for items that Blizzard stated clearly that it would be gone after a certain time period because they want to keep it as an exclusive cosmetic for players who played at the time with a fair time limit, it should stay gone.

zulian tiger and nax t3 were stated to be removed, same as cmodes and mage tower.

Maybe people put in tons of effort at the end of TBC to run nax40 and get their sets…

Maybe people ran tons of alts through ZG every three days for months trying to get the tiger and raptor before they went away…

I don’t recall seeing either of those not be available on the shop in some way. And, again, different things are different. I don’t know how much clearer we or Blizzard can make it.

That’s really not a rational thing to believe.

I’d say those are outliers solely because…

…it was based on lucky drops rather than the player achieving something. Also removing tier is stupid because every other tier in the game is available for players to acquire so it makes no sense that t3 would be locked. Again, your example is an outlier because it’s based on luck rather than the ability of the player to achieve a task set forward by the game to do.

What about the grand marshall/high warlord sets…

those were very prestigious sets and people could only use their transmog if they had a rank 9 achievement from vanilla wow.

then blizzard went back on that and decided that anyone could use them if they achieved 1800 in current RBGs.

Yea but things get reclassified all the time have you ever heard of the McRib? The McRib says hi

Potentially should’ve remained gone. But recognize that the norm in PvP now is to hit 1800 (back then 2k) and you get an elite set that goes away at the end of the season. And when Blizzard asked if they should bring back elite sets the PvP community said hell no. Thus putting aside your argument of “well they brough back x from the past so they should do it for the rest of the game” on the PvP front because that’s not what the players want.

FOMO has and will always be a meme.

Even more baffling is the defenders.

lmao.

It’s like the McRib it will be back

you sure about that Hrumn?

Well, it seems as though many players want the mage tower, cmodes, and mop/wod legendaries to come back… So, based on your logic, since the players are asking for it, blizzard should bring it back

I mean if that’s how you see it then cool. To me it’s a loud minority because there’s always significant pushback to the idea when it comes up. Primarily because people who have a notion that the game will suddenly improve greatly by bringing back exclusives in reality, are only thinking about their own personal interests over others rather than thinking about what the game needs. Which you and I both agreed that…

And the things that they do add have been either complete trash to meh. Making actual content for the current expansion is the play. Exclusives included as well. Because the only reason players keep looking back is because Blizzard doesn’t give us anything to look forward to.

Have you heard of the McRib? People are very happy when it come back. I don’t like the McRib but a lot of people do. It’s a weird meat I don’t know if it’s real or nacho fries those too

the game needs new players… it’s an MMO… allowing there to be more content means more people have more things to do. it’s always going to be good for the game to have more available content.

I mean, i gain literally nothing by having the mop cmodes come back…i have all the ones i wanted anyways…but i still think it would be good for the game to have them return.

the people being selfish and only thinking about their personal interests are the people complaining about losing their “prestige”.

I agree. Blizzard has been very lazy about creating new content and that is the root of this problem…people want more content to do…

you don’t have a MOP cm set on multiple characters like i do… you have no idea how many times people ask me about my set and get disappointed when i tell them that its no longer obtainable…

it’s almost a daily occurence when i run mythic plus on my druid, paladin or shaman.

“wow, that transmog looks really cool… where is it from?”

nah, things are fine as is.

Have you heard of the McRib

It does need new players but it’s going to start when Blizzard can actually make a good expansion. Not running to old content because their current stuff is garbo. Also I’ve outlined why the players who are wanting exclusives to return only have their own personal interests at heart while the opposite side hasn’t provided why it woudl be good for the game. Because again, we have both outlined that what Blizzard has been doing to the game has been bad.

And I have Elite sets and tabards from PvP. Potato, Po-tat-o.
