Plese REMOVE level scaling

It was a waste of time to post about this. The scaling ship has long since sailed.

One of the biggest features of the next expansion completely revolves around the idea of scaling. They’re not going to rip out the spine of the game for you.

I kinda hope with the new level squash in shadowlands that after a few months they scale all zones to the new max level…

As someone whose played RPGs most of my life I gotta agree with the OP on this. Not a fan of the scaling but it is what it is.

No thanks, I like being able to level in almost any content I want. In Shadowlands it’s going to even be better with even fewer leveling restrictions.

Go play Classic if you want to feel special and outlevel NPC’s and mobs.

I would like there to be a choice.

I understand people for whom end game content is the only content like the scaling but for someone like me for whom questing is the content having the difficulty level stay the same throughout every zone takes away any feeling of progression and accomplishment.

Unfortunately, it is only going to get worse in Shadowlands when all the past expansions become completely scaled with each other.

I like scaling. It’s nice to be able to choose where I want to level at any time.

Absolutely!

One of the things I liked under WoW Classic is that if there is an area or a questline that is causing me trouble, no worries! Just go somewhere else, build up a few levels, and then I come back to rain destruction on those NPCS that slapped me around like a tennis ball.

I never got the logic of the NPCs in a zone riding on poor Gassy’s coattails. I mean, if NPCs want to level up, then do quests or dungeons like Gassy.

Provided they also remove ilvl reward scaling as well.

This is such a non-issue. Blizzard is not going back so get used to it or do something else with your life.

I like level scaling and you can always buy a boost and/or play all the zones and expansions in order at your own pace.

So leveling should be a less enjoyable experience for people who are actually leveling alts so you can farm gathering nodes faster.

Mmkay.

Not a fan of scaling. I liked it when we could pick a more challenging or easer route…or have things to look forward to that we couldn’t yet access within the same zone.

Now, I guess it’s maybe a bit more open—truly do whatever you want. Skip entire areas of zones to get to the later quests. No feeling of growth in power, though… :\

I am not a fan either but your preaching to the choir. I doubt much will change it now.

Why ask for something you have no chance of getting

Isn’t your perspective, by definition, a snowflake approach? Insisting a company change the entire game just for you…??

I hate level scaling too. This should have been a toggle option. I also loved going back and stomping lower level npcs.

I’ve counted a half-dozen posts saying some variant of “no good in talking about it, it’s not going to change”.

How sad; This is the sort of attitude that just allows garbage to pile up until it becomes unmanageable.

And for all the people saying “they’re not going to change the entire game”, you do realize that changing the entire game is exactly what they did, right? This flavorless mess is the result.

“You can’t turn back the clock.”

Sure you can, and if the clock has the wrong time on it, the sooner you reset it the better.

Actually, it won’t, it’ll still have leveling brackets (say up to 20 for vanilla zones) after you end “chromie” time.

I haven’t played wow in a long time I just got back into it and learn about the level scaling I’ve been trying to play but I feel like it’s ruined the game for me because there’s no point doing anything when you achieve nothing questing is absolutely pointless because I don’t get stronger I can’t train they may as well take out levelling all together and just make every character the same and gear will set them apart I won’t play that game either but at least it would make sense

I’ve been gone since mid-Legion, came back, discovered level scaling, & love it.
