Pleeeeeeease buff templar strikes

So as of right now, the choice talent node for Crusading Strikes/Templar Strikes is unbalanced and (in my opinion) unfun. Both of these talents replace Crusader Strike, Crusading Strikes turns it into a passive and Templar Strikes turns it into a 2 part combo. Crusader Strike in general is a low priority holy power builder, 1 hp on a moderate cd that’s affected by haste. It’s not amazing, it’s more of a rotation filler than anything. Before we got these talents, I didn’t particularly think about it that much, it mostly just kept my rotation going. I liked that, my personal preference has been for times like legion or certain dragonflight builds where ret was button mashy. I recognize that that is not everyone’s preference, which is why at first I was glad for these talents. Templar Strikes doubles down on the button mashing, while also adding at least a tiny little bit of thought of when to prioritize finishing the combo vs spending hp or using abilities that generate more hp. Crusading strikes is a nice option for people who don’t like the button mashy playstyle, it’s a passive that buffs auto-attacks and gives 1 hp every two auto attacks. Where this breaks down is that throughout TWW crusading strikes has consistently performed significantly better than templar strikes in almost all contexts. Not only do I find this boring, but I believe that choices of a higher APM or complexity should be rewarded (or at least have situational use cases), and with the way things are right now its instead being punished. I’m not gonna say nerf crusading strikes cause ret already needs all the help it can get in single target, but pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease give us something, anything for templar strikes.

Yeah I dont know what happen but for sure doing less dmg now then I was with the 20% to FV, single target talking its awful just awful compared to others, doing 1.8 to 2 where other classes doing 3 to 4 million. Before I was at least doing 2 million now its even worst cant figure something out I guess. lol

thats probably more of a exaggeration

in st sims ts is about 10% behind for me. mostly cause ts wants to be top priority but divine hammer makes spenders priority. so ya. plus thr 20% buff to fv.

ultimately the only way to fix this talent is just a upheveal to it, divine hammer and radiant glory. that wont happen until a major patch or expansion

Basically this.

Its already a pretty strong stand alone ability.

It objectively does a lot of damage for what it is.

The thing is, it’s not really that much more APM or complicated.
And that’s the issue isn’t it?

We get some downtime with CSAA but it’s pretty few and far between.
So TS just take the place of something else we would have pressed and most likely must still press.

As long as CSAA exist, this talent is not likely to fullfill any meaning full roles.

And it’s made worst by the current design which ask of us to spam spenders .

Please nerf massive walls of text!

I mean… if they were equally viable and just a choice preference I’d say fine. But don’t force me to have to play it, I like passive crusader because it’s one less GCD and makes the amount of dps key binds I have perfect :+1:

There is no buff that would make templar strikes better than crusading.

The only thing that can be done is to heavily nerf autoattack speed and damage when crusading strikes is picked. Either one holy power every 3 swings or put a -50% attack speed on csaa.

Also nerf art of war reset, haste from crusade and from hero talents. Maybe then ts can be good

or you know, you can get rid of radiant glory

I don’t want to use Templar Strikes, but it needs to be on par with Crusading Strikes for those who do.

I found Csaa’s gameplay extremely boring… I really like TS, especially now it’s a double combo… the current situation is really CRAP… csaa is so brainless that I REFUSE to play it… I’ve been playing ret for too many years to see it reduced to a 3 button spam…
