Pleeeease more bag space

I know, it’s a broken record. But inventory space (especially reagents) is completely out of control in this game. With only my main doing just two professions, plus catchup on a couple previous expansions, there is simply no room in my bags or bank to even hold the minimum I need.

And even more frustrating is that I would gladly move some stuff aside into my Guild bank or void or something, but a ton of them are soulbound and can’t go anywhere else. So they just sit there, eating up valuable bag space.

And yeah, technically I could just delete all that old stuff and if I ever need it again, I can re-gather it. But it a lot of cases it represents a significant investment of time to gather.

It’s 2024 and Blizzard is acting like there just aren’t enough bits in computers to possibly expand bag space. Compare to Elder Scrolls Online where my reagent bag is infinite, because of course it is because that’s how computers work. This artificial limit needs to go, Blizz.

You said you wanted to respect the player’s time. Well…here’s your chance. Stop making me micro-manage my inventory in order that I can play your little game and then get back to my life.

They sort of solve this with the new system in Warthin…

As a hoarder who is scared to sell stuff should I finally find a need for it once I sell it, I approve this message :dracthyr_lulmao:

Well, they don’t really solve it in any permanent sense, but the warband bank should punt the immediate problem down the road for an expansion or two.

I’d settle for fewer types of reagents filling up my bags.

Make void storage into another bank and turn more things into toys.

Imagine having a … just sorta modest storage issue, and then some jackwagon at Blizzard says "you know what we need? THREE TIERS OF MATS! Over all of the professions, it’ll add like 600 total items so …

let’s be sure to give them an extra 32-slot bag.

grrrr rrrrrrr

I was asking for this at the start of DF Alpha.

Nary a whisper in response. :frowning:

And the mats are all used as vendor currency too for some reason, so even if you don’t have a toon with that prof you kinda want to keep them…

I really hope they drop this three tiers of crafting mats nonsense in TWW. Never, ever do something this dumb again, there’s a reason FF14 said “You know whats dumb? Having two types of the same crafting mat” and then WoW came along and said “No, what’s dumb is that you didn’t make a Super High Quality mat…idiot” and then they proceeded to fortnite dance and break a hip.

I miss the gigantique sack achievement.

A few more bag slots is a band aid, as those slots will quickly fill up and you’ll be back here in a week asking for more slots. What we need are wholesale changes in the way items are recognized and stored. The warband bank will help, but how about crafting materials, potions, consumables stored as currency, equipment items that either offspec, etc. are handled differently, perhaps like profession equipment or the transmog menu. I have half a bag filled with various transport items (dalaran ring TB tabard, etc.), a pop up menu like mages have for portals would be awesome for these.

New, larger bags in The War Within are coming as well as the Warbank.

Once TWW hits, there’s not going to be any reason to have a bunch of stuff in your bag. The shared bank will give almost 500 storage spots than you auto pull from while crafting

I plan on using my warband bank almost exclusively for reagents. I hope it helps create significant space even though it will take a hefty chunk of gold to open up.

I’ve got a friend who was talking about not having any bag space so I asked if he could send me a picture of what he had in there and to my bewilderment he still had mechagon materials and shadowlands legendaries.

While I’m not against having more inventory, I’ve seen the sorts of hoarding a lot of you people are doing. I’ve seen people carrying around stuff from 2-3 expansions ago, or things that could be used to move into the currency tab, and vendor trash.

Like most of my toons right now have around 100 slots available in their inventory :dracthyr_shrug:

What are you people hoarding?

I still have snowballs in my bank from the very first Winter Veil because somehow my stupid brain believes they are more “valuable” than any other snowball. So I admit…I’m part of the problem. :grinning:

But that’s kinda my point. If it’s “fun” for me to keep old stuff around, I should be able to do so without it impacting my regular gameplay. It’s the “false scarcity” of bag slots that is my main objection. It made sense 20 years ago, not so much anymore.

I’ll wait for the warband bag system and see if that alleviates the issue. Even if that means I just have my main use up all the slots in the “shared” bags lol.

I’m pretty sure the warband bank is just for reagent-type stuff, not for anything soulbound. Unless it’s been said otherwise, I don’t think any currently soulbound items can even go in there at all. So the only way the warband bank benefits is if you have so much reagent type stuff that a) your reagent bank is already full on your character(s) and b) you still have so many reagent type items that you are filling your bank with them too.

We desperately need the ability to get rid of the old Legion and SL legendaries. Void storage is a pain, I just want them gone. And why in the infernal wastes do the Legiondaries keep dropping?? I got three this last weekend farming in Argus. Especially the rings, necks and trinkets that aren’t even mog bait. :hear_no_evil::see_no_evil::speak_no_evil:
