Please update the target realm list. There isn't a place to go

Arugal is Oceanic and I am not an Oceanic player.
Bigglesworth has no alliance raid group.
Earthfury is has one alliance raid group.
Fairbanks is completely dead.
Grobbulus is an RP realm and I am not an RP player.
Herod is completely dead.
Netherwind is completely dead.
Sulfuras has no alliance raid group
Yojamba is Oceanic and I am not an Oceanic player.

Can you please add Benediction to the target list or open up the PvE realms as targets for me? I’d really like to play this game again.

All the “non-RP” alliance are on Benediction.
Blizzard didn’t tell everyone to stack there.
You do not get to join them for free.

The target realm list intentionally omits the largest realms in hopes of boosting the others, but nobody is willing to.

If you got the spare time and desire you can make a test char there.

Grob took in many refugees since release. Pop changes, guild drama, etc…

Not all RP on Rp servers like grob. For most needs its runs like a normal server. same as other RP’s really. if you really just want to hit the AH, trainers and leave…you can do that. No RP whatsoever lol.

Wrong on so many levels. The free transfers were not for that. Otherwise, there would only be realms to transfer from and realms to transfer to. That isn’t the case. The realm target list is the exact same as the realm transfer list. They weren’t trying to bolster anything. They were just trying to let what was left of the dead realms group together.

However, just like the first set of transfers that happen Blizzard was terrible in predicting what the player base would do and didn’t offer a non-RP matching realm choice to Grobbulus.

I asked for Benediction because as you pointed out it is the only Alliance realm left that is non-RP and PvP. As Blizzard restricted PvP to PvP realms. I also asked that they potentially allow PvP to transfer to PvE which is something available when transferring. Which would open a multitude of realms. Namely Pagle, Atiesh, Westfall, Windseeker, Myzreal, Azuresong, and Old Blanchy. As well as an alternative for RP players in Bloodsail Buccaneers.

As for “not getting there free”… well besides being one of the dumbest takes on these forums given the state of these realms… I am perfectly willing to pay once they bring the deal they brought to retail that didn’t actually need to transfer any character. I won’t reward what is clearly a greed-based move at the cost of the game’s health. How do I know it is only based on greed? First was the holiday deals. Everything was discounted by 50% or more when it came to shop services. Pretty much everything in both retail and classic was discounted. Except specifically realm transfer… for classic only. They then later brought out an ‘eight characters for eighty USD’ deal to retail that didn’t need transfers (and likely why the deal came in place to incentive it), but classic that does need such a deal is once again left out.

That seems… entirely counter to what an RP realm is supposed to be.

depends on one needs. also I was not in the several guilds decisions to move here about 6 to 9 months ago. their calls lol.

Case of grob…it seems to have become the packed 24/7 pvp server for damn near any time zone. A so called megaserver for it. that has kept some balance. or at least not 90 to 10% imbalance anyway.

I had an OCE server pvp char. that server got not fun as it got kind of dead. Also…I get better ping to us than oce. Blizz’s route costs to oce are not good for me.

So I restarted one on grob for my play around pvp char. Even with my japan based time I see people on with playtimes that can vary.

Same reason I am on MG and WRA. I don’t always RP. But they (usually)
always have people on anytime of day.

if people don’t want to RP or respect RP on a RP server we shouldn’t convince them to come

Unfortunately there being “nowhere to go” has become the end result of Blizz’s absolute mismanagement of server pops and the community’s desire to all stack on a few realms.

entirely why I didn’t go to Grob. I don’t RP at all… and respect RP enough not to go to an RP without a single desire to RP.

Seems like there are places to go, they just don’t meet your very specific parameters.

Have you ever heard of the phrase beggars can’t be choosers?

I mean… a ton of people DID get to join them for free…

Soo why did they get a free pass but the people who held on and tried to keep their dying server alive are getting punished? In what world does that make any sense at all.

Ever heard the term, don’t bite the hand that feeds you?

Guess not…

The targets are either dead or a sole RP realm for a non-RP player. It isn’t a case of beggars can’t be chooser. It is a case of a beggar asking for food and being given dirt and told not to complain about it.

Choose Bene, Fae, or Grobb.
You don’t have many choices lmao.
Also I heard Grob is incredibly friendly with non-Rpers so just go.

I moved to Grob along with all of Fairbanks couple months ago I have done 0 RP you can hate RP as much as you want and still play on a RP server no one forces you to RP [quote=“Jirukon-thunderfury, post:11, topic:1219988, full:true”]

That… once again seems antithetical to the RP realm. Guess Blizz has become lax even in their own rules. Either that or so many non-RP players swarmed an RP realm it is no longer feasible to utilize those rules anymore.

Contrary to what you personally believe, it has NEVER been against the rules to not RP on an RP server. The only rule is that you can not disrupt other people’s RP.

Plrease actually review the rules before referencing them.

Contrary to what you may have believed it was against the rules to not RP. Please do a bit of research before speaking. The only place you weren’t actually subject to these rules were Guild Chat and Whispers. Every other channel had rules.

Role Playing Policy

Creating an immersive world that holds true to the base story line of the World of Warcraft is the driving motivation behind our Role Play Servers. While other servers allow you to play World of Warcraft, these servers are intended to let you live World of Warcraft. Within this environment you will embark on long-lasting adventures, foster enduring comradeships, and wage epic wars. Cultivating an environment that allows this level of immersion rests largely upon the shoulders of you, the player.

To assist you in this endeavor, we have laid out rules of conduct more stringent than those of other servers. Keep in mind that each section of this policy is in addition to the policies currently being enforced on all servers.

If you find another player acting in a manner that contradicts the spirit of the guidelines detailed below, you must first verbally request the offending player to discontinue his/her behavior. If the actions continue after this request, only then should a Game Master (GM) be contacted. Remember to be respectful of others’ Story Lines for we must all work together to keep the continuity of the Base Story Line. Good luck and safe journeys!

Role Play-Specific Verbal/Physical Harassment

This category includes:

  • Players that specifically target Role Players for verbal/physical abuse (not limited to offensive language)

If a player is found to be targeting Role Players with the specific intent to harass, he/she may:

  • Be temporarily suspended from the game

Out of Character (OOC) Discussion and Use of General Chat

Detailed below is the language policy enforced on the Role Play realms. Use of the /ignore command is also highly encouraged.

  • The General Chat Channel should only be used for finding Story Lines (SLs), finding Party Groups and various other discussions pertaining to Base Story Line (BSL), game-related topics, and continuity
  • The General Chat Channel should NOT be used for any “Off-topic,” Non-Story Line or non game-related discussion
  • Absolutely no out of character (OOC) or Non-Fantasy related dialogue should take place in the /Say, /Yell, or Party Chat Channels
  • Guild Chat will not be policed for any fantasy related violations
  • All normal harassment rules still apply

Examples of appropriate conversation in the General Chat Channel:

  • “Would anyone like to join a Rogue Specific SL?”
  • “What happened to the Well of Eternity?”

Examples of inappropriate conversation in the General Chat Channel:

  • “Did you see that new movie?”
  • “My sister just bought a new car.”

If a player is found violating any of these rules, he/she may:

  • Be given a warning
  • Be temporary suspended from the game

Non-Medieval/Fantasy Character Names

This category includes:

  • Any Non-Medieval or Non-Fantasy names (i.e. Microwave, Nuclearotron, Softwareman)
  • All normal naming rules and the specific Roleplay naming rules.

If a player is found to have such a name, he/she may:

  • Be assigned a randomly generated temporary name, to be changed via email
  • Be given the appropriate additional penalty if the name violates standard naming rules

Important

  • This policy is in addition to the policies currently being enforced on all realms.
  • Repeatedly violating any area of the Role Play realm policy, as well as any area of the Terms of Use, will often result in temporary suspension from the game. The same sanction could apply for extreme cases.

In playing this game, you will encounter thousands of other players who share different experiences and come from vastly different character backgrounds than your own. Remember to be respectful of those around you. Help us to make this the most immersive Role Play Community in the history of the MMORPG!

Nothing you quoted actually says that. Did you actually even read it? I’ll go through each and every one of them.

This is not forcing you to RP. This is telling you not to harass Role players.

This is not forcing you to role play. It is only saying that you cannot use certain chat channels for non-roleplay dialogue. It is, once again, NOT saying you are forced to roleplay in say.

The naming policy is not forcing you to roleplay. It is only saying you need to have a roleplay friendly name. Having a roleplay friendly name =/= roleplaying. Jirukon is role player friendly.

You have a misunderstanding of the rules. You are NOT forced to roleplay on roleplay servers. Once again, I suggest you actually read the rules.

Are you sure about that? It pretty directly says… no OOC or Non-Fantasy related dialogue in say, yell, or party chat channels.

So yes you are forced to roleplay in say or say nothing at all.

Also convenient you left out the last part marked as important.

Meaning that if you choose to not RP and violate the RP realm policy you will be penalized for it.

Oh so you get it finally. You are not forced to role play. The “or” in that sentence means you have a choice.

Glad to help there.

Choosing to not RP is not a violation of any of Blizzard’s policies though. You just admited to that in your previous paragraph. The only violation would be disrupting other people’s role play, which is easy to avoid – just don’t be a jerk.

I see… you are your race and aren’t actually this dumb. Got it.
