Words cannot express the excitement I felt when I realized this item existed, finally a solution to the woe’s of doing trivial quests with mobs you need to weaken rather than kill
Unfortunately, it doesn’t always work
With the quest “Hard to Swallow” in Dragonblight, the mobs that need to be weakened are elites, so the sword will not work on them
with the quest “The Grasp Weakens” in Tirisfal Glades, the ghost needs to be weakened as well, but despite being 40 levels lower than me and not an elite, the sword will not work, I guess incorporeal beings are immune to foam, a shame really
I’m sure i’ll run into other problems soon enough, but these are the ones I’ve hit so far
I would like to do every quest, all of them

You shouldn’t need it for The Grasp Weakens. You can just kill him. (Looking at wowhead comments, getting completion credit can be a bit buggy. Make sure you’re tagging him quickly when he goes hostile, as the NPC can kill him.)
But yes, the sword really should work on low level elites.
would be nice if it could be updated to work in old raids, not all of them but anything we can solo / have it scale to our power level , some raids need you to weaken enemies to get achieves / certain things.
for example the 4th boss of ulduar needs his heart killed to get certain xmogs but since its not a percent based activation of his heart popping out you 1 shot him and current sword dont work in raids
As a hunter, I cannot support this enough. Some of the old challenge tames are nearly impossible now, since you can’t foam sword them and even without any armor excluding your bow you can one-shot them if you crit.
