Please Unsubscribe and Boycott Acti-Blizz: Logic and Reasoning

Hello all.

Please unsubscribe and boycott Activision Blizzard. Here’s some logic and reasoning.

If Blizzard as a company, through Bobby Kotick knew about multiple sexual harassment and other professional issues, then please unsubscribe and boycott as this is grounds for violation of both public and private trust. As a company with shares, there’s laws for this kind of thing.

If Blizzard as a company is acting with a guilty conscience, and changing perceived in-game crimes and slights against women without reasonable cause, such as the paintings of women that were in no way wrong by themselves, and yet the RL choices of one Blizzard Entertainment requires these in game paintings to be removed, why should they be trusted to run the game, WoW, sensibly and with a purpose for the future?

If Blizzard as a company is using its sacred “vision” to be unchanging in its plans and views customers as worthwhile losses rather than alter its said sacred vision, then Blizzard is not worth its customers time, as paying is just handing resources to the tyrant.

If Blizzard has an employee threatening others and then not seeking justice for the wronged party, no matter their in company position. why should Blizzard be trusted? Did Bobby Kotick threaten someone and say they should be killed and then nothing happened, or did they offer said threatened employee bribe / hush money? Great, really honest company business practices, there, Blizzard.

TL:DR: Bobby Kotick and Blizzard are worth boycotting and unsubscribing over because morally speaking, as a business entity and group of individuals, Bobby has aided and abetted criminals that have committed sexual assault and harassment, while Blizzard has also a “Sacred Vision” it is willing to sacrifice customers’ ideas, suggestions, and recommendations to the altar of endless ignoring possibly workable ideas simply because they don’t care about anyone elses’ ideas unless YOU have the gaming industry credentials to back your idea up. No Cred? No idea, they will simply ignore you.

If you don’t care to read the entire TL:DR and the thread, don’t worry, your attention span is the same as Activision Blizzard’s when it comes to “Meaningful” and “We hear you” and “We listened to everything you said” feedback and ideas, which they will just keep ignoring because to them unless we’re at least an equal peer in the industry, we’re wasting their time with our ideas.

Look at their actions.

I’m sorry too, I have offered ideas since October 2005, and yet if I don’t have the gaming credentials to back up any idea I suggest, my idea and my post are a waste of their time.

“We hear your ideas but multiple dollars take a long time to activate.”

No thanks. Im sure you mean well but theres far worse in world we ignore in name of profits.

Rock solid logic there, bro.

Actually it’s worse.

If the idea presenter does not link nor have credentials in an at least peer / equal company and chose to present them in their suggestion thread…?

Blizzard WILL ignore your idea as you can’t be worth their time, as you aren’t at a company and lack the gaming credentials to carry any convincing weight to your argument.

That’s too bad because anybody can have a good idea. All you need is to be alive. You don’t need credentials and websites.

By all means…

I’ve been trying to convince Blizzard of that since October 2005.

From the way we’ve gotten here I’ve been wasting my time the whole way until now.

Getting rid of him won’t fix anything but I wish you all the best of luck

Only once the bad apples are all out can the healing begin.

Short answer: A questionable exec is not worth throwing away what is still a somewhat entertaining hobby and I’m sure devs, who are the end of the day are just employees, are not particularly happy with the way things are being handled.

It seems the leading devs are now being forced to reconsider their ideas though, since there’s another mmo completely overshadowing their Mobile of Warcraft concept.

I’ve decided to sign all my posts with this to show my displeasure while I am still subscribed.

Err noo, the other thousands of employees that go to work and try their best gets shafted too?

The issue is with a few particular higher ups and their days are limited after this absolute crapstorm.

Yeah unsubscribe and let the game you like die or at best turn into s hit for good over a couple missconduct cases which btw is very common in the tech industry and it just happened that commiefornia targeted blizzard. “Logic”

Boycotting en masse will only work in hurting the actual many innocent employees who make the game. They don’t want WoW to fail either, no one does. A large scale unsubbing is pointless and won’t bring about the kind of change you’re asking for. The top level types won’t be affected. You’re attacking the wrong people.

Also Blizzard has already made significant changes to themselves and WoW. They’re fine. Currently Activision-Blizzard is in the spotlight. Bobby is not the CEO of Blizzard, they are separate companies.

If you want to leave you can, but the vast majority of people are not likely to follow suit. We want to keep playing and supporting WoW. Other people have the power to make company changes and they’re the ones dealing with it. Us trying to destroy their game will only make it worse for all sides.

You can enjoy and play their games and disagree with their behaviors. One doesn’t relate to the other.

no, I will pass. The people I wanted gone are gone.

I dare you to ask any large company how many harassment complaints they get a year. And then you can boycott those too if you deal with them. I bet every single game you play has had harassment complaints made in their organization.

geez I thought you were serious. Thanks for letting me know before I read the entire thing.

Eh I’ll unsub when I’m not having fun with the game.

Corporations being run by narcissistic sociopaths and treating their employees poorly is basically the norm now, and getting upset over it basically means getting upset over the entire entertainment industry, social media, data protection, labor exploitation…
