For people who already have chars on those servers. So we can bring our alts too
I was pretty disappointed by this, too… I don’t actually like the locks at all.
What they really need to do is faction lock, like locking out more Horde characters from rolling on Skeram, which has 9000 Horde and about 50 Alliance. They should also run a 3 month long double XP/double drops/double gold drop event on Skeram for the Alliance side, to get people to either roll Alliance or reroll as Alliance there.
I find it funny that blizz should have already learned this lesson with free transfers. Can’t teach an old dog new tricks I guess.
It is a puzzler how they’re either completely ignorant of it, or intentionally ignoring it.
Would defeat the purpose of locks in the future, as everyone would just go around and make throwaway alts on every server and thus be immune to the locks.
So…nah m8.

Yeah well most of us don’t like our already full servers getting zerged with new transfers so…

I appreciate that that’s definitely true for some of us, but we don’t know if that’s most or not.
However, I suspect it’s also somewhat different on different realms. For Faerlina, I’m more against locking character creation, as we have had a pretty noticeable decrease in the new characters/players coming to the server, since the locks.
Also, my intention was simply to voice my personal opinion about the locks, not a statement of what Blizzard should or shoudn’t do. 
Should have transferred all your toons at the same time boss. It’s too late now.
In the case of blizzard, it’s « Can’t teach an old monkey new tricks ».
i play on a PVE realm. I dont care about the other faction.
Faction imbalance affects more than just pvp if that’s what you’re implying.
i’m implying i dont want my dominant faction locked on my pve server because that impacts me.
then simply make it so you need to alrdy have a 60 there? omg brain!
