Right now Affliction lock in PVE is like ice skating uphill to try to even compete for dps with Destro locks. In classic era the limitations were debuff limit on bosses and the reality that no raid leader would let an Aff lock take all those slots! Now you just calculate based on perfection or a rune that is a trap imho. I hope you have a plan going into lvl 60 that can ACTUALLY allow Aff locks to COMPETE with Destro for top lock dps in PVE! came from Era to finally be able to DOT things with my spec for real and it feels more like the spec has been pushed BACK further. Im not asking for WOTLK level Aff and not looking to just do the snapshot thing but PLEASE give Aff a boost so it can be up there with Destro.

I can’t find any affliction parses on wow logs because I’m curious to know the damage difference.
I just hit 50 on my lock and have always loved affliction but afraid of going into raid with a build that won’t beat a tank lol.

Yeah Aff is in a bad spot both in PVE and PVP, apart from the odd 1v1 situations which barely even exist anymore. Really has impacted my motivation to play tbh. Debating if I should reroll spriest/boomie, or hop over to Cata pre patch.
I have 2 guildmates that run it that do well. Like anything is in Classic, it’s fine even though it’s not the meta.
As long as you get a decent corruption snapshot and don’t let it drop you’ll “beat the tanks”
