Because after 3 contacts to GM’s, they have all written back and told me that my issue is NOT with the quest, and there IS a way out of my predicament, which is:
- I am stuck on planting 3 dream seeds on “Aid The Accord” campaign.
Disclaimer: I’m 74 and may not be understanding their instructions
I cannot get to Emerald through any portal and it is as if I have never been there, when I know I got put there automatically when that new patch went into effect. There is no portal over the bank that will let me through to do the “Welcome” quests and I can’t get through on the Osamahama (?) Plains portal.
In short, I am stuck
-
Apparently, I am supposed to have done the “Conspiracy Of Flame” quest given me by the giver who is outside the Seat Of Aspects. She is not there, AND, when I try to check and see if I have done this quest, I go to Wowhead and they tell me (when I look under the Quest Completion Tracker): “We could not load Jonãs on US-Alexstrasza from Blizzard Battle.net.”… Same for any other tools on Wowhead - even though it has been working fine until now. It has been addressed and Wowhead says, “We don’t know…” what’s wrong.
-
So, what I have is 2/3 quests of the “Aid The Accord, Emerald Bounty” completed, and no idea how to progress.
So I am asking anyone here to help me figure out why this new patch doesn’t know me all of a sudden, why Wowhead won’t recognize my mage, Jonas and why Blizz doesn’t seem to be able to help me.
Any ideas?
To further explain the disclaimer: I’m 74, yes, but I can still follow instructions, and I still recognize the elephant on the Cognitive Memory Test.
Thanks for your assistance.
I don’t know why you couldn’t get the wowhead tracker to work, I can see you. This link should take you to your character:
Anyway, the quest chain you needed to complete was “Coalition of Flames” (not Conspiracy). The last quest in that chain is Raise The Alarm and it shows you completed that. And you completed Emerald Welcome, which is the quest that teaches you to use the portal, so you should be all set. I have to ask, are you going to the correct location for the portal? It’s where the “!” is on this map:

Tureja!!!
Thank you, so so much for doing that. I did go to Ancient Bough last night, but couldn’t tell if there is a portal there. I’ll return and check, but didn’t see one last night. In short, I cannot enter a portal to ED anywhere.
It’s not anything you or anyone can help with, I know, but I can’t keep asking people to check and see what quests I have done/not done. Something is keeping Wowhead from loading my character, and whether it’s me or them, it’s my opinion that “We don’t know…” is not an adequate response, but that can wait.
Again, thank you, thank you, thank you. Your help at least gives me a start.
PS: When I go to your first link here’s what Wowhead tells me: “We could not load Jonãs on US-Alexstrasza from Blizzard Battle.net.”
So you can see it, but I cannot.
FYI, the portal is in the center of the island, it’s not where Merithra is.

Thank you. I will go right now and see if I can find it. Thanks again for the kind assistance!
Also, I think the portal above the bank in Valdrakken isn’t there because you need to finish the quest chain you’re on first. So for now you need to use the one on Ancient Bough.

OK, At Ancient Bough, I see a big round, statue-like thing in the center, and there’s a character offering a 5 person quest, there are all kinds of dragons around (“Green Dragons”) and several “named” dragons, but no portal here, Tureja.
I also see Merithra, and that…thing in the center, but no portal.
I don’t know what quest that is but it sounds like there’s some kind of phasing at work preventing you from seeing the regular portal.

Is this what you see? If so, that is the portal.
Dream portals look like that: a ring shape grown from trees with a green misty texture within.
Pass through that and the quest can continue.

Well, no. I thought I was supposed to look there where that thing is, I’ll take another flight and see what I can see. Thanks, Sniperorc. If I am phased, is that something WoW/Blizz can handle or am I SOOL?
ETA: Sniperorc Do you have some coords for that, because I just took a flight and looked through what you sent me and unless I’m in the wrong place, there’s nothing there that looks like that.
Meanwhile, the guys at Blizz have another ticket.
If there’s phasing at work then that means there’s some other quest you need to complete to return the Emerald Bough to its regular state, but I don’t know what quest that would be.
Ohn’ahran Plains: 18.6, 51.8
If you’re using the Tomtom addon this command will add a waypoint for there.
/way #2023 18.6 51.8.

Thanks to both of you for your kind assistance! I believe I have found it, using Sniperorc’s co-ords. I went up a small flight of stairs there and went through a swirling kind of a thing and on the other side is a road. I am standing in a meadow of purple flowers. That’s it, right?
Thank you very much indeed! That thing was driving me the rest of the way crazy!
Yes, there are some purple flowers on the other side of the portal. If you follow the path from there you should get to Verdant Landing where Occarim is the Flight Master.

I just noticed something in your quest tracker that might explain why you have trouble getting in and out of the Emerald Dream zone to do the rest of your quests.
There’s a small set of prerequisite quests you have to complete at least once (on the first character of the account to get to that point in the campaign) or explicitly skip (on subsequent characters). You mentioned it (more or less): the campaign segment is called “The Coalition of Flames”. The first quest step is called “A Sentinel’s Summon” which is (as you describe) offered by Shandris Feathermoon just outside the Seat of Aspects. However, it appears you already picked up that quest. It’s not very notable (basically a breadcrumb) and there’s a bit of incentive to do it because Shandris is always yelling at you to talk to her when you come out of the inn (“Excuse me, Champion, may I have a word with you?”)
But you either didn’t complete it, or did complete it but never picked up the next quests in the campaign chain:
Go to the location indicated in the WowHead articles and pick up and complete those quests. Accept and complete the rest of the quests in that campaign chain (they’re all right there) and that campaign stage will be completed, unlocking the actual Emerald Dream campaign (which you need to access to complete the “plant dreamseed” quest).

Awesome! Thanks again, Sir! You wouldn’t happen to know how to fix Wowhead not recognizing Jonãs and going to our Quest Completion Tracker. That problem is 2 months old now, and I have had to leave it with the “We don’t know” answer. But maybe it will be fixed one day. I just hate to bother other folks to ask what quests I still have open and stuff.
Tureja, I thanked you both publicly in The Lounge, not knowing if you go there, so here is a personal thanks you can see. Thank you!
Alas, that’s on WowHead to fix and I don’t know of anything you can do on your end (either in Blizzard or in WowHead) to help.

I guess I just based that on not ever having heard a Tech (from Wowhead) tell me he/she didn’t know something. I was just taken aback by that statement, and saved it for future reference.
It seemed to me that he just stopped looking for ways to solve the problem, and what upset me was that to him I should be recognized as a paying customer. Ja, it’s only $5.00 per ever how often they get paid, but I mean damn!
I was able to see your character on Wowhead fine with Tureja’s link, so there’s probably something going on on your end. If you haven’t already, I’d see what happens if you try a different web browser.

Hi, Udiza
Thanks for checking in. Ja, I use Google Chrome and have been using that same browser for years. If I switch to Firefox, and it works to fix that problem, what else that has been handled successfully by Chrome all these years, will I need to restructure?
I agree with you. That could be the issue, but why leave me hanging for 2 months? We could have done a DxDiag and/or that MSN Info thing and know for sure, right? But I wasn’t offered that solution, and, at 74, I don’t know much tech stuff, so even if I ran those things on my own, I’d have no idea what I was looking at.
Also there’s the thing about who else is this happening to that also uses Chrome. Why only me?
