How can you even say that when unique utility is almost nonexistent in this game anymore? Almost everyone in their mother has a stun or slow of some form.

“Anything your class can do, so can mine but with better or worse throughput.” Show me a single piece of modern WoW content that demands a specific class ability, that is not intended for MDI keys at 20 or 30. Show me where the average player has to make a real, impactful decision on their gameplay.

Those players doing MDI do not represent the majority of WoW playerbase, yet everything except vanity collections is designed around them. That is how esports ruins games. That’s how it ruins any hobby.

Imagine playing backyard football just for fun, only to have some NFL coach come along and scream at you to play this way or not play at all. Why do you think there is so little choice in WoW? Because you cannot have choice and an esports environment coexisting.

What are you even talking about? We are talking about e-sports.

Throughput is not the most important factor in e-sports. Unique utility is.

What, do you think I arrived to this conclusion 10 minutes ago? Esports-oriented game design has ruined pretty much every game franchise I used to really enjoy, repeating the same pattern over and over. WoW is no different

I have no clue how you arrived at your conclusion. I can only guess you arrived at it without ever knowing a thing about how WoW E-Sports work. Which is a weird aspect to take.

Do you regularly pretend you know a lot about a topic you’ve never once even tried to know the basics about?
