Please stop with the screen blur :(

I avoid in-game alcohol because while the odd movement is fun, the screen blur gives me a headache.

So when I logged in tonight, already WITH a headache, and my whole screen is a blur just because someone else nearby did something that affected me passively… that’s bad. I get chased away from what I’m doing because I can’t even stand to look at the game. I don’t even know what the buff was. I simply fled.

I’ve asked for a long time for a toggle to turn off that particular visual effect. Please for the love of Elune don’t push it on me even more.

We used to have an option to turn it off, I used to use it exclusively because of the spiders in Zul’Gurub.

that’s why https://www.wowhead.com/item=120150/blackrock-coffee is one of the most valuable items in wow IMO.

i HATE the drunk blur. IRL and in game haha

Oh you’d LOVE everquest II… blurriness AND quad vision that wibble wobbles.

Everyone always has their unique complaint. If they added toggles for everything the forums complain about, this would be World of Togglecraft. The times they add a toggle is like 1%. Usually they just remove the feature and everyone else and the RPGness of the game suffers. You have your solution- run away

the fact that you can do something to other players to such a degree is just wrong. especially when you’re minding your own business and then WHAM outta nowhere your screens’ messed up

To such a degree ? Resetting their ability bar is a degree. Making your screen wobble for less than a minute is nothing.

There should be a way to make a player’s screen flash like a strobe light. Put that in the next event, Blizz.

Carry some coffee around in game. It instantly removes the blur by sobering you up.

It’s likely that someone plopped down a Brewfest Chowdown Trophy. The area of it’s effect isn’t very large, moving a few steps away will get rid of that particular blur.

Take 2 steps to the left. Solved.

Easier to complain.

I hope they do make it only affect groups.

The Leatrix Plus addon has an option to disable that. You can get it from CurseForge.

As a disabled person with a number of cognitive and neurological impairments, I can’t look at a screen with that effect at all.

They removed it unfortunately. I did every vendor / locations prior to Brewfest.

They most likely will. It’s how they nerfed a lot of toys. Once the RPers start getting griefed with it, the complaints will skyrocket and it’ll get nerfed.

I have zero problems with a crap ton of options in my interface panel if it means they stop nerfing fun things.

Blizzard likes their simple interfaces. We can’t even see our run speed percent anymore

No no no -

It’s a jump to the left and a step to the right - few other moves, then it’s time to do the time warp!!! (no pun intended with you being a mage and all  )

Sorry, Rocky Horror - Time Warp flashbacks. I’ll be going now, apologies OP for the temp derail.

hangs head in shame as she wanders off to the corner.

unfortunate. In my digging i found this console command that supposedly turns it off.

/console ffxGlow 0

Haven’t actually tested it though. If it does work at all it’d just be the fuzzy screen not the other drunken effects

also Starfire Espresso is craftable and is supposed to sober you up as well. Though may take several uses. Especially if you’re completely smashed

If I had drunk and have the blur effect, I’ll let myself die by falling down and it works.
