I’m just aware that anti-trans activists like to use fake narratives about detransition as a means to deny people like me healthcare when statistically the detransition rate is less than 1%.
I’m highly skeptical of anecdotes about detransition.
“Why do you believe what you do?” “here is why I believe what I do.” “WhAt, DaS nOt ReAl.” What a horrible freaking human being, seriously. I am so pissed off someone would just write off this nightmare I live.

If the current administration starts allowing children to choose to transition themselves before they learn multiplication…you may see those stats skyrocket past a margin of error.
That also literally doesn’t happen.
Transition is a process that takes years of therapy and waiting and fighting with doctors.

This is never a good thing to start a post with.
The standard procedure for Transgender kids is to have them present as their gender identity and to put them on puberty blockers until they are late teens or 18 then let them decide after years of therapy to make sure it’s not just a phase.
Sounds like a nightmare.

Going through the wrong puberty is highly traumatic, and results in surgeries that are preventable using the standard procedure.
