Please stop putting walking animations for birds that can Fly

Ohunas, Phoenixes, and Raptoras are all beautiful birds of prey I would love to have by my side, but they can’t fly when tamed.

The flying animations is what brings out the hunter fantasy. The walking animations kills the hunter fantasy.

Please add flying animations to these hunter pets there is no reason for them to be grounded.

I really hope the Somnowls aren’t going to be grounded as well.

I would muchly appreciate for this to be fixed.

Honestly I prefer them walking. It feels bad having flying animations on pets that can’t attack airborne targets.
Before Shadowlands there was a bunch of pets that could and some would even switch between walking and flying animations to attack something in the air but the fun is gone now.

How about a toggle or a glyph to have both, because it’s silly to have birds not flying.

Although I only see one pet in your stable and your only level 10 with 30 achev points to have any full understanding.

This character has tl3 only reason I made a post with her instead of my hunter.

A glyph to force a set of animations, why not.
I just think flying pet should be able to reach flying targets. As I said, some could but with Shadowlands they changed how pets data is stored, and as a side effect true flyers got removed. Walk on land, fly in the air makes the most sense to me.

This is a pointless comment, I can’t post on my main on US region.

IMHO: They should be on the ground when the hunter is stationary and fly when the hunter is moving. It shouldn’t be that hard to implement. Blizzard have done it for vespoid wasps and both animations are in the game files.

It’s was made to compensate all the players whining about their wings flapping obscuring their vision. Can not click on targets or players with the flying animation, so they had them sit on the ground. It just makes them look like giant chickens than birds of prey.

Really?

Punish hunter pets to destroy the fantasy.

They don’t seem to whine about the big bulky pets obscuring vision, what’s the difference?

Just make smaller birds, I don’t mind smaller hunter pets.

This I don’t mind as well.

Yes they do. They even made a glyph to shrink pets. Devilsaur use to be massive until players complained that they couldn’t see around them, and they stomped too.

I use that glyph, but it doesn’t work when you have the second pet, just the first. I have like 10 hunters each one is a different race and theme for pets. .My gnome hunter would appreciate to have the smaller pet glyph to work on the secondary pet as well

It’s a glyph that’s been around before pet companion, so it only programed to recognize the main.

I didn’t log in last night to see what they did to the Somnowls. I learned not to play on patch days.

I hope for a turkey hunter pet someday. :turkey:

Edit: Somnowls can’t fly :slightly_frowning_face:
