Please stop defaulting to Retail!

If I last played Classic… then launcher… that should be the default when I open you again.

Stop reminding me the dumpster fire that is BFA exists.

Ya’ll trolling? Mine also defaults to retail, has been a bit annoying but didn’t think it could be changed.

Edit: Reinstalled desktop app and now it defaults to classic. No idea what the problem was but working fine now.

Just download the desktop app version of Battlenet and choose your game. That’s’ what I do.

It would be nice if we didn’t need this dumb ap to boot our game… like the good days. Last time I played retail, there was no “battlenet ap”, you just booted the game up.

If you open WoW with the bfa shortcut it will default to bfa on the launcher.

If you open WoW with the classic shortcut it will default to classic on the launcher.

You seem triggered. Have some hot coco and a safety blanket. BFA won’t hurt you.

This is definitely an issue on your end. My launcher hasn’t opened on retail it over a month.

The launcher exists as a file checker to make sure you have all the proper data before you load up the client. And when it’s not there or the data is damaged for whatever reason it then fixes the client. Also the launcher is for Blizzard to remind you and try and sell you their other products. You can disagree all you want but they make the rules.

Personally, I like being able to auto-login without having to type in my account name and password every single time.

Mine insists I want to play Call of Duty. Which might be a marginally better situation.

Mine defaults to Classic. Might have to do with me having deleted Retail.

You could have just led with that bit, and discarded all the rest.

My launcher has always defaulted to the last version of WoW I launched, including betas.

You can just uninstall retail, and you won’t see it at all.
