Please stop calling for nerfs

I’ve been watching streams to get a feel for what the top players think of certain specs and obviously playing alot myself and it seem like 90 percent of the specs in the game right now are super strong, and at times can seem “op”

Shadow Priest- insane damage when not dispelled or interuptted/ great self healing
Arms Warrior- the most utility in the game and greatt sustain damage
Sub Rogue- disgusting burst
ele sham- insane damage and burst (survivability a bit low)
mm hunter- good sustain damage, god like burst
mage…- always insane
boomkin and feral!-both got huge buffs to their damage and utility
ww monk- the most damage ever/ best mobility in the game
ret- insane self healing and burst
aff lock- highest dps in the game probably if unchecked (needs some help defensively though)

Remember the things that seem “busted” right now like mm burst and rogue burst is not how its going to be when arena gets going. You have to take into account that people barely have 5 percent vers right now and almost every spec in the game is going to stack vers just like it was in bfa, especially with the two pvp trinket bonus…blizzard knows this is going to happen and balanced accordingly. It’s WAY too soon to be calling for so many nerfs. It’s also never been good for the game, if a class is too weak buff it, that’s it.

I never played mop unfortunately but from what i hear everyone who did arena during it said it was the most fun because every class seemed busted…we’re very close to that right now. Let’s as a community come together and realize calling for nerfs does not feel good for the people playing whatever class

every class seemed busted in mop because of their toolkit and what they had access to, not because of some absurd damage numbers

We’ve gone from the game being damp city to being globalled, people haven’t adjusted and will find it overwhelming. Like you said, everyone has no vers and we’re learning about classes new covenant abilities ect. There are outliers that seem overturned but it’s much better to wait a few weeks into the season before asking for drastic changes.

nerf the length of this post!

Exactly. Blizz needs to buff underperforming specs more rather than nerf every spec doing well. If they start nerfing everyone hard then expect dampeners to be a thing again.

they left marks garbage for an entire expansion, doubt they will make any adjusments, they didnt make any meaningful changes to destro assassination or fire mage 75% of the expansion.

unfortunately mage and rogue are the beloved poster child of blizzard and if they aren’t silver spoon fed to s+ tier in every single type of content they can enter at any moment in history during the game’s entire existence, their playerbase goes on an unstoppable hallucinogenic drug induced rampage demanding “balance”

comparatively hunters are being worked on and balanced by one single guy who is 78 years old named bingus tannenbaum who thinks he’s illustrating to the Sunday funnies with every change to the class with the reactions pvpers have at the beginning of every expac before the lead pvp dev intervenes and says “no, grandpa, just because you’re old doesn’t mean you can make hunters hit for 20k in one global and incite pandemonium in the PvP community” and then hunters are awful for the rest of the expac and all the hunter players are like “dam well at least we had a good run” and then they complacently proceed to get high and collect animals and rp for the rest of the expansion

such is the process

Lol people have literally been saying the same thing since prepatch.

“It’s prepatch bro, it’ll tune itself”
“Get to 60 bro it’s fine there”
“The real problem is HP, get better gear to stop being one shot”
“When you get versatility (as if 10% reduction will do much vs 20k in 2 globals) it’ll get better”
“Bro wait till you get 180 ilvl, that’s the REAL game”
“Legendaries will fix it”

Just no, and all those classes aren’t equally overturned. MM needs gutting while something like shadow could use mediocre tweaks/adjustments

I srsly wonder how people freak out from high burst combos on prepatch

You can get gibbed which is true; for the most part the majority of classes/comps can also prevent being gibbed too. Just have to know what to look out for and what’s important to play around

People will always get better at living but you can’t really start killing people faster once they’re aware of what to pay attention too, especially because damage differences between players isn’t significant in PvP anymore

nah, gonna keep calling for nerfs on the stuff causing the most consternation in the casual pvp areas

cuz that’s where everyone is actually playing

some of the stuff you called out needs basically perfect counterplay instead of sloppy casual play, that ain’t balance

“Perfect counterplay” is a stretch. Also, better players shouldn’t perform better due to their understanding of the game? Go away.

nah, high rated players calling for balance that requires extremely tight responses are just wrong

the game needs to be looser and more forgiving

did you enjoy bfa? because that was bfa and i didn’t enjoy it

well you are mixing two things in your statement

i agree that looser more casual play is more fun for the masses

however I’m not saying that slow healer mana games are the best in arena, or deadlocks in rated bg’s

what I AM saying is that burst from a certain spec/class shouldn’t require pretty much one choice or your dead, as that doesn’t work at all for pugs

the game has gotta be pug friendly for the bulk of play, including the bulk of arena

if some class/specs can faceroll through the low rating based on their advantage, that’s not balance

spread out to deny subs cheaps when they go for control kidneys or expect to react to mm openers is really not that far off of knowing the m+ dungeon you’re about to do

ur on ur way to summoning salt, just so you know

This has to be one of the funniest posts I have read. I audibly laughed multiple times.

It’s funny how people say this but also realize wotlk/mop were probably the most enjoyable xpacs

Participation was incredible in all of these

The most forgiving xpacs where generally the most loathed even by the casual player base lol

I mean if you do the wrong mechanic in PvE you instantly die and most people can figure that out

Your argument works if humans weren’t incredible at adapting, you live with an assumption that only a select few humans have the capacity of learning

Well said. Anecdotally, it seems like people want as much buttons as they had in those eras but don’t want the actual gameplay, for some reason.

Yeah I mean the entire point of having all the abilities back is so game pacing can be quick

If people just have tons of counterplay abilities and no one has high damage then you’ll literally have the biggest dampening meta ever

Almost every class has tools back to prevent the majority of specs gibs, especially MM

Obviously in a random bg or maybe the occasional double tap rng crit from stealth, but there are plenty more specs that have super high damage and with everyone being unpruned you can actually deal with it

People got too used to BfA
