A split playerbase is a happier player base. Why would I want to be around people who play the game differently?

split playerbase feels more dead than it already is. runescape 3 feels more alive than retail right now

I have really enjoyed remix, but I do agree that splitting the playerbase up more and more is not great.

Remix is literally just a way to make alts on whichever server you want and earn some cosmetics while you do it.
Also, the hardcore playerbase that truly sticks to Classic is kinda small compared to the retail playerbase at full strength. Or I’m willing to bet in two months population spikes hard just with TWW.
I personally have no issue though with more versions of WoW or whatever for my monthly sub as an option. Maybe I’ll get bored with retail and the nostalgia will hit me and I’ll rush off to classic wow or cata for a bit.

Not sure why you spent $20 on pajamas and more on subscriptions if you’re so upset with Blizzard. Sending the wrong message there, bud.
I think the two events are fine 
it’s only season 4, which everyone largely understands to be a meme season, and I haven’t found that I’m unable to complete any content I want.

I wish we’d split the playerbase more, but via language. I can’t play with people I can’t communicate with, I don’t even want to see content I can’t interface with, so I shouldn’t be forced to see other languages in chat. There’s a reason why most games typically have language-specific servers.
It impedes group communication and causes friction and frustration in interactions while making the world feel closed and alone via people being incapable of responding in chat.
End of expansion periods were dead af anyway, remix got me to resub when I was kinda considering not even coming back for TWW.

The issue I would like to address with Blizzard is: do they not appreciate they have other games??
I’m currently playing retail. And remix. AND beta.
Before I got my beta invite, I was planning to spend some of that time playing D4.
Maybe I’m the exception, but I look forward to down times/ nothing to do in retail, because it allows me to play other games. But Blizzard seems to think that option ONLY means games from some other company.
What they fail to realize is that with that mentality of overloading us with things to do in retail, means I don’t have time to play BLIZZARD games, either.
And it would seem to so easy to not only plan downtimes during the end of a Season, but to then tie them in with cross-promotional events with their other games. Get an XP boost by playing D4 or OW. The options there are limitless without even tying it to FOMO items like pets or mounts.
Better yet, don’t tie it to anything! Just GIVE ME A BREAK from retail so I can go play another game. All the people whining about being bored in retail… nothing says “I play WAYYY too much” than that phrase. I play about 10 hours a week, and I always feel like I’m DROWNING in content. I would love more time to play other games and Blizzard should embrace this.

and Im soooo glad they did it because a couple of the sets I didnt have finished had a piece that i really was not willing to do the work for, lol.

Its end expansion there was no real reason to play retail right now.
Would you rather us sit here with absolutely nothing to do until the next expansion comes out like all previous expansions?
