Please, can someone take the time to help me understand the Matchmaking value and the rate that is awarded in SS games?
In dragonflight I decided to play pvp and get the gladiator achievement and the mount, but I’m getting discouraged because I don’t understand how the rating is generated. In some SS games where I win 4/6 they don’t give me any rating, while other players who win 1/6 give them between 50 to 100 or in games where I lose 2/6 they take 50 from me while someone else 1/6 is rewarded 100 points.
I need to know how the rating works, the Matchmaking Value and the score that is awarded per game so that I can continue working on this. It really gives me a lot of anxiety to see this unfair distribution of points, just because I don’t understand it.
I totally understand that saying. But still, why does my rating remain unchanged when I win? I even managed to win 6/6 on one occasion but my rating remained unchanged.
you lost too many games in a row. You lost enough games that the people you’re winning against arent good enough to register as wins pretty much. If you came in fresh (new character with no loss history) and went 6-0 3 times in a row youd be in the top % of players, if you come in fresh and go 0-6 3 times in a row youre in the bottom % of players.
Mmr is only interested in finding games where you start to lose. If you dont lose mmr skyrockets to find people higher up to see if they can make you lose.
When your win loss evens out your cr matches mmr. You’re stuck until you start winning more.
If you lose too much mmr drops to give you a better fighting chance.
Win games good, lose games bad.
Rating goes up when you beat teams equal or higher than you. If they’re lower then you gain potentially nothing.
Rating goes down when you lose to teams equal or lower than you. If they’re higher it goes down less to potentially a -0
Usually this is coming off a losing streak. Basically you’re put into matches versus lower rated players and expected to win, with the payoff being that your mmr stabilizes.
That’s because their current rating is low relative to the mmr of the matches being played. A quick example is just somebody that’s 800 current rating in a 1600 mmr match. If they go 2-4 they’ll still probably get roughly 200.
Not really. It won’t change how one approaches things.
