Please scale Naxx so its hard

And I know progression guilds that were clearing naxx that never missed and MC BWL or AQ40 raid every week.

Even mid-level guilds are clearing BWL and AQ with no world buffs in an hour-hour and a half. World buffs are not the horrible scourge of classic people like you insist they are.

I don’t think that even close to corresponds to reality.

Warcraftlogs shows about 20,000 C’thun killing guilds.

There’s 3,424 guilds that’ve cleared AQ in 90 minutes or less.

Only 5,251 guilds have cleared it in under 2 hours. That still leaves 15,000 guilds that haven’t done it in under 2 hours.

There’s exactly 66 guilds that’ve full cleared in under 90 minutes with no world buffs.

They absolutely are, you’re in denial.

A progression guild In Vanilla? I find that very hard to believe. Of the few guilds that actually cleared Naxx. My server had 4. And none of them did. Getting through Naxx was as one put it, a slog. If you were a progression guild, what purpose would going have to go back to MC? For TF? Good luck convincing 39 other people to waste their time on old raid tiers where no one needs anything when they could be working on Naxx. Server first were really competitive. We were raiding on fumes, completely burnt out. I’m in no position to refute your claims, but i do find it hard to believe.

It’s definitely plausible for binding runs at least as those couldn’t have taken more than an hour as a geared guild.

MC took about an hour for a naxx guild as did MC. They raided 6 nights a week for 5+ hours more if they were pushing world firsts. Taking 2 hours of a 30-40 raiding week to get people drops wasn’t a huge deal. Cthun loot is still relevant even after naxx, as drops stay bis for the whole game.

They also mandated alts in BWL/MC clears so they didn’t shard everything. It kept people engaged. If i remember correctly there had to be at least 1 alt per class.

It obviously could be done. I’ve just never seen it or heard of it. But knew a bunch of people outside my server as well, but i can’t speak for everyone. Most were 4-5 days a week for 4-5 hours or so. But it depends on the guild members obviously.

For what I know anyway, no one was willing to spend a night or two for a couple items. I mean, might as well farm more consumables with that time. It’s better time spent.

Alt clears? I had one other character. Another mage on a different server. I had no time. Dunno what guild you’re talking about but they sound like a bunch of crazies who did nothing but drink red bull 24/7.

LOL, by the time naxx rolled around there were players from horde side that would delete thier raid geared toons reroll alliance on the same server and level to raid naxx with a top guild and they would just carry them to gear to get there, because better players were harder to find than it was to gear people.

Shrug. To me it just makes 0 sense, like I said unless they were red bull chugging crazies.

Better people were harder to find than gear people? I totally disagree. It’s an MMO. People have said it a million times. This is an easy game. The skill ceiling is very low.

By the time you were in Naxx, it was very difficult to find geared people. If your guild lost a bunch of people in Naxx, you were toast. An already small % of people even raided let alone had Naxx quality gear on Vanilla servers which were already much smaller than Classic/Private Servers. Gearing was a huge long process.

What made progression raiders in Vanilla, was dedication. It wasn’t Retail Mythic+++++ raiding or however many pluses there are in there, where there is some skill involved.

Color me puzzled by what you said. Not unless, you’re talking about private servers, in which case I frankly give 1 finger about.

Tell me the name of ONE such guild, excluding world-first guilds like DnT and Nihilum.

No he wouldn’t, because any seasoned Mega Man vet knows you can cheese him by firing Elec man’s beam and pausing and unpausing to remove invincibility frames.

I think they should do this, for a minimum of one month. Let everyone experience Naxx, without cheat code world buffs for a single month. Then open it up after.

As nutty as some guilds were I’d doubt if even one of them did all tiers every week - from beginning to end. MC to Naxx.

The road to Naxx was 10 times harder than Naxx itself.

So if AQ takes over 2 hours to complete (world buffs last 2 hours or until your first death), what impact are they having on the difficulty of Ouro, Twin Emps, and C’Thun?

Exo, Trancendance. Envy.

Most casual guilds clear to Ouro or partway since the trash doesn’t respawn then come in with world buffs on their second raid night to kill them.

Go play a new game. Naxx has been cleared tens of thousands of times over the last 16 years. Nothing to strategize. Sit back, watch a youtube video and clear it week one.

min/max, study fights, practice on the ptr, full WBs & consumes, perfect raid comp… why is this so easy? lol

…because it is?
