Please say SOMETHING about remix trajectory

I hit 70 last night. I am tanking every heroic dungeon once to get the ring, and then I am returning to questing out the rest of every campaign (I have more than half to go) with every slot except my necklace filled. I anticipate that at some point, at SOME point that should get me to where I can return to instancing by soloing normal raids, because I refuse to believe that a whole equipment slot is to be gated by “have nine friends in remix” or “hope the community invites you.”

Please, Blizz, please say something about the trajectory of your intentions here. I don’t feel my time is wasted yet, I’m still having fun, but I would really, really appreciate an updated statement of intent about the eventual individual player power levels.

It should be nigh inevitable that everyone is their own personal army through sheer gear power. It’s the best answer to scaling, to everyone’s fears of spending bronze on upgrades vs for cosmetics. I’m reluctant to take the leap on gear upgrading without some assurance from you, because that’s a gamble on your intent that I don’t trust enough to make right now.

Just a word on what you see the safe priorities to be, how ridiculous you expect the income to be, because “25% from caches” sort of increments aren’t encouraging.

Are we literally choosing between upgrades or cosmetics? Or is godlike “solo raids to easily make back everything you spent on upgrades” the intent here?

Please, you’re asking a big leap of faith. I’m glad for my new achievement cosmetics, but I’m reluctant to engage the long game of upgrades toward solo raid farming if you do not intend that to ever be possible.

Thank you.

It’s not that deep

As someone who has been farming Heroic dungeons, Normal raids, and daily quests every day since I hit 70, the gains are really slow and we are going to need something like the frog farm to be able to solo the more difficult raids by the end of this event.

Not only would you need thousands of cloak threads, but also hundreds of thousands of Bronze to fully upgrade all your gear, which would require something like the frog farm or fully clearing Mythic Siege of Orgrimmar every day.

Sadly, I get the feeling that WoW developers made the grind extra long to increase engagement and metrics, and they don’t really care if we reach our personal goals of soloing raids or not.

If you do the math and feel that the gains from the content you do will be enough, please do share, though.

If some improvements aren’t made this week, I am feeling like just giving up on Remix. It was supposed to be a fun side project and not this consuming grind where I still feel weak.

Why would it be possible? In timerunning it is current level content.

I want my character to be more than just a time running event. I know I have the ability to make my toon OP and it would break regular gameplay if it faced players that did not go through time running events but I don’t want it to be set aside to only be dusted off for time runner events.

The Remix trajectory may or may not be ballistic. It is possible that with enough velocity you could get into orbit.

There, I said something about remix trajectory. Is that what you had in mind?

We’re hitting the parabola with this one!

Who doesn’t love conic sections?

Gen chat is for the main game

So looked into this a bit, and found an interview with Soulsobreezy where the topic of soloing raids was specifically mentioned and asked about. The answer was essentially (not a direct quote) “we’d love to see someone try that!”

It came off like a novelty that a really dedicated person might try with fully maxed out gear.

That’s… not encouraging, to be honest.

Also the interview established a vibe and a vision that has not been lived up to, in my opinion. They wouldn’t commit to a much later ramp up of bronze, citing not wanting to punish people who adopted early (lol), which… I have no words.

The funniest point they said was in regards to letting alts start too OP, because people might enjoy “learning encounters again.” This stuff is a decade old, I just laughed at that.

Anyway, https://youtu.be/Nl1bfQZbQJ8?si=6MD4gVlvPShkdRAx is the interview address, check it out. Soul is a good guy and did a good job, IMO.

I am just going to do without the neck - I will have enough bronze to get what I want just by running a few alts through.

these people are so out of touch - yes maybe 5% of the players want this but most don’t.

I don’t get what I’d do with the extra slots from the rings and neck? I have only so many gems and the rest are basically just ones that do healing. I can’t get duplicate gems that I’ve seen and the vendor says I have them all. Unless its for gems then nvm.

I’m pretty content with just not having the extra slots and getting to level 70.

In regards to balance… if D4 is anything to go by they nerf hard when it comes to games with this kind of freedom it seems. They couldn’t handle imbalance in D4 for season 1 until the community freaked out about their desire to keep the game feeling like dark souls. But even now I don’t expect anything approaching perfect balance cause there seems to always be some bugged broken damage stuff even after a year of the game being out.

What’s really bizarre and the reason I brought that up is cause this is more of a roguelite version of WoW. The whole point seems to get stupid op like it’s an arpg. Apparently even if you didn’t abuse things like the frogs you still end up with ridiculous stats with enough normalish grind.

And yet they had no issue punishing people who did every achievement early by not making the bronze cache increase retroactive and not making the threads for achievements retroactive.

The raids with a fully decked out 556 player are very much soloable unless there are mechanics that, when scaled to level 70, outright prevent it from happening.

Dark Animus is a maybe at best, some SoO stuff is a maybe, but Heroic Lei Shen is 100% soloable and I watched a Brewmaster that was fully frogged out solo the last 57% of his HP. He managed to do nearly 21M DPS (most of it was fake because of Bouncing Bolts) and 1.62M HPS and Victory Fire was obliterating those adds. Dude was also able to solo Dark Animus from 75% or so through his enrage, but the hard part about Dark Animus is that the small golems obliterate even Froggers if a bunch of them stack up.
