It was SO fun being able to land back stab attacks while soloing mobs. Please put this back to the way it was. I can’t stand how you guys always try and ruin fun anytime it is detected.

If only there were at least 3 abilities, 4, even, to prevent a mob from turning around so you could backstab them.
Guess we’ll never know.

Use cheap shot, gouge and kidney shot.

You can backstab while soloing.
Use gouge n go behind the mob. Press bsckstab. It works.
Too many buttons to press, too many micromanagements. Classic 1-2 button rotations with 2 brain cell gameplay is the best.

If you can’t get behind a mob using all of the tools at your disposal then switch to swords.

gouge + backstab is my preferred leveling spec for rogues.
usually it’s like one ambush, one backstab and a three combo point eviscerate to kill a mob, it feels pretty fast and interactive imo.
Feel the exact same way about my Druid and front shredding.
Was so fun to feel powerful, even if only for a bit. I let my sub run out(partly because Im still salty about it lol) but also because Ill just wait till they switch on the TBC prepatch and then leveling wont feel as bad.

Have you tried pathing through them and back over and over, you used to be able to do this all the way to cataclysm. Though it was easier with a druid as they move faster.
Its due to the ultra tiny area that makes the mob hitbox along with the slow attack speed and fixed position while attacking.
Make it do 50% less damage and change the name to Stab
it’s called BACK stab
learn how to use it or don’t use it.
and it’s more fun when it’s only usable from behind.

If you’re referring to “front stabbing” I don’t believe that was ever a thing in WoW. I believe that was just private server shenanigans.

buddy I just did it for a week. The server was bugged and the immediately fixed it once they found out Druids were able to shred mobs with a quick run-through.
