Please revert separate bg's for twinks

If this is an unintentional change please disregard the text below:

Once again you’ve given in to the cries of the vocal minority Blizzard. You’re punishing people who put more time into their characters than anyone else, people who are the most passionate about pvp, people who love the idea of maximizing their characters at whichever level they please.

Twink bg's haven't worked since cata or maybe mop, the queues are simply too long/non-existent. How can you say it's unfair for levellers and twinks to be in the same battleground? Of course, there is an advantage for the twinks, but it is a DESERVED advantage because of the time we put in. I gotta say I'm disappointed. I don't think I'll be renewing my sub unless this change is reverted.

I really assume this has to be an unintentional change. Every twink I know has a main, and the reason they play their twink is because the players are completely burnt out on end game and a different play-style is the only thing keeping them somewhat engaged. I really never say things like this, but if it is an intended change, this is just another nail in the coffin for Blizz. They keep finding ways to screw over players who are passionate about the game to make it easier for players who don’t want any challenges.

It better be unintentional, or bbye bliz after 14+ years

The size of this change, given the number of players it affects who only play for twinking, is like unplugging the game entirely for us. Ultimately, the amount of effort spent by these players to return to the game is enormous, and the merged queues have been stable long enough for those players to think it wasn’t a waste of time to return.

It’s a slap in the face.

There’s no point in circling around the complaints that twinks are stronger than non-twinks. No kidding. Gladiators and whatever else at max level are, too. So are premades. “Everybody should be bad and ungeared” is not the battle cry of a game with any staying power, any achievements worth noting, or any time necessary to build a character and enjoy the product of that effort.

Twinking is the last place you can make a (relatively) stable character to enjoy competitive games without the infinite grind, where you can actually feel part of a community since you don’t need to even make a party for anything anymore, and where dedicated bracket players can get together.

XP-separated queues were, and are, the end of that, not that you won’t still have people running around in enchanted BoA gear doing the same thing - just with no time commitment, no community, no easily encountered competitive games.

You still designed BoA twinking to annoy casual players in the same way - they just can’t point to a community to complain about it, as long as the twinks have “BoA” stickers on.

If you want to flush the dedicated bracket players away, again, for more forgettable blandness, the least you could do is put it in the g******* patch notes.

Or! Please just revert per OP’s request. Yep, that’d be better.

"every voice MATTERS

Great ideas can come from anywhere. Blizzard Entertainment is what it is today because of the voices of our players and of each member of the company. Every employee is encouraged to speak up, listen, be respectful of other opinions, and embrace criticism as just another avenue for great ideas."

Old fart here quoting a key principle of Blizzard’s mission statement. I’ve only recently joined a twink community after 14+ years. It’s brought back a lot of the magic that made WoW so special for me. Our community is respectful, welcoming and has fostered some great Horde and Alliance PVP rivalries (even down to character name basis). I’ve had a blast hunting the world and and reliving all of the classic dungeons and content through timewalking. It’s been an enjoyable pursuit of the best gear and stats I could find. Twinking is essentially being able to simulate a “sudo” end game max gear experience, without the intense end game time requirements. It’s great for us players who have other hobbies, full time job, second jobs & families.

This is just my experience, but hopefully it may help others better understand that there are many deeper layers to these twink communities and their bracket’s gameplay. Separating XP off BG’s really just removes the casual “micro-end-game” experience many of us players have come to really love.

For those who complain about pre-120 casual BGs being “unfair,” please remember that that your time in our bracket is temporary. Your journey lands you in the challenge of End Game where you can choose how much time and effort you want to invest and YOU can become a powerful as you want! We are all here to have fun and we want you to chase your own WoW dreams as well.

P.S. If you’ve never given twinking a try, join one of these great communities of players. Give it a go before hate it. Try playing from a different perspective. ALL voices and opinions are welcome. You may find you are having more fun on wow than you have in a long, long time.

Been in this game for 14 years. If this is intentional, then i’m done and I know quite a few of my friends who do this as well will be following.

I sat out Legion after their changes just destroyed the aspect of the game that I enjoyed. After hearing the news with BFA welcoming that play style, I was more than happy to jump in and get back into it. Unfortunately, if this change stays, I’ll be sitting out of WoW until the change reverts, or permanently as I find a game that welcomes my play style more. This is really unfortunate - if this is intended, I completely understand the logic going into it, but I think that blizzard doesn’t see the joy from our view.

Quit the game, we don’t need u in the game stomping bgs and making fun of ppl who don’t twink, there’s a reason why rbgs can only be played at max lvl, I really hope this to be real and to stay that way, twinks just ruin the game, if ppl wanna lvl up with bgs they have all rights to do it, they are paying too and if u are “looking to be competitive” shut up and go for some max lvl bgs? Unless u are too scared to do so

Just a clue. People still losing games like whoa… and there’s no twinks… so not sure how to break this to you but…

Unfortunately twinks are a very small community in terms of overall wow players. Blizzard will lose more $ if the casuals unsub.
I never agreed exp should have been allowed in bg’s in the first place. You get levelers instead of players who want to pvp and get better at it.

So low level battlegrounds are a safe space where alts of heap big players can afk to free xp.

I think they lose more subscriptions this way since most casual levelers don’t unsub because of twinks, they just level fast through it. They will lose a lot of the xp off community however.

Twinks hurt new player interest in pvp. It makes it seem wildly imbalanced. You might think you are min maxxing, but really you are just trying to crush people that are trying to level and learn their class. Go min max at max level where one shotting people isn’t as easy.

Lol damn I spent the last few weeks gearing up twinks based on PTR changes in 8.1.5 and haven’t played my 120s in quite a while. Twinks kept my sub going. I assume there won’t be a hotfix so I’ll check back in 8.2

If there are separate queues now that’s great.

Separate queues haven’t popped for like 6 to 8 years or so. Twinks will either quit playing or find their way back into XP-On BGs. Back when you couldn’t get an XP-off queue there was an addon to play WSG with that would force /afk you out of a BG right before any flag cap happened so that you wouldn’t gain any experience… So some twinks played the only way they could. XP-on, ignoring objectives, and quitting the BG if objectives progressed. Surely what we had last week was better.

If there is a queue for twinks, you mean. As I posted elsewhere, in some brackets I got put into queue, but no average wait time ever appeared. In others (including non-xp off 110 without BfA) I got a message saying my attempt to queue as a group failed.

Right now it’s broken. However, it isn’t clear what their intention was.

I spent a bunch of money buying tokens to get some primo gear. I guess maybe I won’t be buying transfers for those characters.

Ouch, that’s one thing I won’t do is pour money in beyond the subscription but I do hope you get to actually play someday.

The best part, the absolute best part of all this is I have been queueing on my level 20 Lightforged Draenei Marksman Hunter. Welp, when Alliance starts losing? Yeah. Guess who they blame.

Twinks.
That’s right folks, twinks can’t even get into the same games as your alts and yet people are STILL complaining that twinks are ruining their current game. Get a clue.
