And none of this changes that powershifting is still working, it’s just not doing as much dps as it could which was never good anyways. Which goes back to it simply not being very important to try to fix.
Am I the only Feral Druid NOT broken up or even upset about this change?
I mean, I’m a Feral Tank, but I still like how TBCs Feral talents are almost equally applicable to Bears and Cats.
That being said, I’ve always looked at mandatory usage of Wolfshead and Powershifting to be extra baggage anyway. The reason powershifting wasn’t well-known was because I think people read into the intent behind the talents.
In all reality, what this talent (Furor) really needed was a “this effect cannot occur within 10 seconds…” side effect.
Okay so I assumed you weren’t up to date but this proves it. 2.2 powerchugging is a dps increase. We’re literally asking for our max dps to be reduced for more streamlined gameplay simlar to vanilla and Black Temple patch. Because the line of code that resets energy on shift is likely the same line that enables powerchugging, because it resets all ticks when any change in any regen is detected.
So you’re saying changing the line of 2.2 code causing all this is:
But you claim that EXACT same line of code is likely to be changed because of one consumable used by only a percentage of a cat druids?
Are you trying to imply they’ll change that line or not?
Edit: Nothing about trolls blood potions has been listed as a known issue, and blizzard higher ups themselves have stated they’re aware of it. They likely saw powerchugging, realized that only a niche spec was using it and it wasn’t overpowered, and decided it wasn’t worth their time.
They’re aware of power chugging now, as it’s almost certainly an issue with TBC Classic that wasn’t how it worked back in the day. Can anyone provide anything showing that power chugging is working as it did?
1: You ignored the question. Do you think its too much of them to change the line of code or not.
2: There is footage from TBC of innervate falling off and resetting a druid energy tick. I would imagine HP5 would do the same as it’s all one tick, but as there are no short-term HP5 effects in TBC, it’s incredibly hard to find footage disproving or proving it.
3: Do you think heroic strike queueing and steal twisting are also bugs that we should “expect to be fixed”?
The same part of code (line or more) that allows powerchugging is what’s causing shift resets. It’s likely something along the basic idea of if (newRegen != oldRegen){Player.resourceTick.Reset();} but in C++
We’re literally both saying that they should change the same thing but you dont seem to realize it and I’ve tried to many times to get that through your head but I cant get you to understand.
No but heroic strike queueing wasn’t either, though none of these 3 were “intended”, they were “discovered”.
Once again I have no idea what it takes to actually change back. And since it’s not a real impact why should blizzard bother, you can still powershift and do mediocre dps?
1: Then dont?? You can just play cat slow. A decent amount of people do.
2: The current energy system actually makes Wolfshead even MORE of a necessity. Now it’s needed in PVP and questing for use with Mangle when it wasn’t before.
3: Nothing you’re saying actual goes against what this thread is asking for. Wether or not they use 2.2 or 2.0-like energy has no affect on your game play according to you.
So you AGREE that removing powerchugging is both not a simple thing to do AND that it doesn’t have any real impact, so why should blizzard bother? Because it seems like you keep contradicting your own words over what’s “worth” changing.
I also don’t know what the change to fix troll’s blood is. It’s entirely possible blizzard will relegate it to the same place as the energy tick. High effort minimal gain.
And the problem fixes itself in that case, if you want to use massive amounts of trolls blood just to do mediocre dps instead of accepting what feral always was in TBC, well enjoy.
How many years of programming experience do you have because I dont think it’s even needed but I’ve tried to explain this part to you SO many times already so I’m starting to wonder if that’s why.
You keep bringing this up to try to invalidate so many people’s arguments.
Why should the relative power of a spec have ANYTHING to do with this post’s suggestion? Are you implying that any change to melee dps shouldn’t matter because they’ll be surpassed by hunters and warlocks? Are you implying that any nerf to hunters or warlocks is unacceptable because they need to be so far above the rest? Like I’m trying to understand your mindset as to the “gain” of a change being related to it’s class.
Because every classic guild I’ve been in has had too many tanks and because there are already soooo many boosted bears. Lemme guess you want me to quit my guild next?
