Please revert feral hotfix/use 2.0 energy [FIXED, ty Blizz!]

Bump because I can

This system with powerchugging is actually more dps, probably by around 8-10%. We’re asking for 2.0 or a fix to 2.2 because it’s what felt the most fun and the most “classic”. We’d prefer a system that feels classic and bug-free than one that lets us do more damage but feels like crap to play cause we’re chugging hundreds of potions a raid.
You haven’t noticed it yet because youre leveling and mangling. You really feel the 2.2 crap when you’re raiding and using shred, your main raiding damage ability. While doing solo gameplay, wolfshead+Mangle spam feels almost exactly like vanilla/2.0 shred powershifting, but at 70 and in raids you’re supposed to be shredding, because mangle is mainly a raid debuff to keep up on the boss and does much less damage comparably.
If they just make it so that only changes to energy regen reset energy, we both get back 2.0-like energy and powerchugging is removed. Everyone wins.

You’re obscuring the fact that the intended system is neither powerchugging nor 2.0 Energy to make this rhetorical sleight-of-hand demand for a “nerf” for the sake of “fun”

Fasc I see you’ve typed your 177th reply to this thread while i was proofreading my last post, but I cant see it’s contents without also opting in to notifications every time you respond. Do yourself a favor and take a break from the forums.

This snowball will just keep rolling and growing blizz. We aren’t going away. Just fix it lol. It won’t be super hard for you to patch the problem, just do it. If any company desperately need some good will atm, it’s you guys.

Weapon swapping is OKAY-ish and allows me to play without needing thousands of consumables.

Wouldn’t recommend this to anyone though. It’s not ok.

You’re one of those people that blocks folks on Twitter and then endlessly tweets at them anyway aren’t you?

Why would they nerf mediocre DPS to begin with, it isn’t like Ferals were topping the charts in groups with equally geared and skilled players who were going to equal lengths to maximize their DPS.

Your argument holds no weight really.

this will never be fixed simply because 1. blizzard can afford to piss off a tiny niche 2. they’re probably too incompetent to fix it anyway. it’s unfortunate that they have decided to make such a profoundly idiotic decision.

Because they can, that contract you signed reminded you exactly of that fact.

Sorry you agreed to a legally binding contract and don’t understand the terms…

As someone who subscribes to many WoW content creators, I can’t help but be envious of the support I’ve been shown in recent weeks of other companies. They all took pointers from WoW, how it used to be, how they developed with the player in mind. Part of that was their interactions in the forums about solving issues that fell outside of development.

@Warcraftdevs You are failing the community and you are not the only game in town. If you do not strive to be better, you will slowly begin to lose us.

How disappointing that blizz has still failed to addres this one way or another.
The lack of at least a comment is quite unfortunate to be entirely honest.

I’ve been playing this game since it’s release in 2004 and their customer support has only grown worse over time. Blizzard, please at least acknowledge this concearn, ignorance doesn’t help.

Sad how Blizzard hasn’t addressed this change since feral dps is considered the worst after the tick change.

I get that you all are posting for a cause you believe in. It’s admirable and our community needs more of it.

However, the reason it won’t be changed is because the patch that Blizzard chose to emulate has the energy ticks as they should be, they are accurately represented based on how the game was at that time.

Is it fair? Maybe not from your perspective. But it was changed for a reason in 2008 so for the purposes of the game and integrity of the game, it’s correct.

The thread just continues to pop up, so kudos for the effort, but it is correct as is based on patch notes from the time this game is meant to emulate.
