because i think TBC until ZA had the most fun version of feral druid in WoW. in TBC you still needed wolfshead, which i think is really cool! I like TBC feral because if the emergent gameplay and similar but more reactive style of play that we had in classic. we aren’t asking for new abilities to be added to the game, we aren’t asking for talents to be changed (most of us). im not upset at all, i can disagree with someone without being upset.
i think asking for a version of feral that was in TBC is 10x more reasonable than asking for frontal cone bleeds and major reworks. im playing feral in TBC because I like feral in TBC except for one minor unintended change they made that undermines the rotation. i understand you want it to be ‘better’ but the BEST for me is TBC talents, abilities and mechanics. I wish feral was top DPS on every fight, but we aren’t rebalancing all of TBC. we aren’t making sweeping changes to classes ‘to make them better’.
95% of us are asking for a system that was already in the game that was removed for no reason. I dont know why you think im upset AT ALL. All im saying is i think your approach isn’t how I want the spec to be. I think powershifting and wolfshead are incredibly fun, and were equally as important to TBC feral as classic feral, so i think your ‘go play classic’ attitude is moot.

After spending some time in the wayback machine hunting through forums this change looks like it wasn’t intentionally made to nerf power shifting at the time, but left in as preparation for WOTLK changes to abolish powershifting entirely.
Which I think justifies the point of changing it now. We won’t powershift in WOTLK, that was never the plan, but let us do it in TBC.

Thank you for your unnecessary opinion, Trashedmom.
I never said I didnt like powershifting if you read correctly, only to hope that maybe it will be something different or better or even the same. The hope that they will fix something to be better or the same, whatever is better than it is now, is only what Ive been saying.
You are not here to say what is to be rightfully posted or not. And who said having ideas or suggestions for a game is unrealistic or unproductive? Get a perspective.
There is no way for me to be the right or wrong one in this thread, because I havent been trying to prove anyone wrong or anything. I have only been saying we can hope for the best, or something better. Bless.
I understand what you mean now, I agree.
Damn if they added 1 - lvl 70 helm with similar wolfshead Equip:. Maybe for something before P2. That would be super lit.
or a meta gem? i think that would be cool as well! I’m happy if we just get proper energy back at the end of the day though.

I saw a previous post I cant find now,
About reducing the amount of energy needed to Shred: will give us 2 shreds and normal tick and not have to wait… that would be easy fix too, maybe
Thinking about it, why not make damaging abilities cost similar to rogues or something of that matter? They seem to always be doing just fine, even until retail. (Rogues with later TBC gear do #1 damage for a good chunk of later fights)… That might be saying something close to as, maybe Feral can be too with certain gear and this tick.

Unfortunately even with a reduced shred cost of 40, there’s currently a bug thats causing energy ticks to give more than or less than 20 energy sometimes. If it gives 19, then we’re 1 energy short of being able to claw or mangle. We’ve never cared about having EXACT energy until this change, and now with the non-20 bug, we’re even MORE screwed. I tried raiding as cat a couple days ago with the current set up and it was the most messy and inconsistent playstyle I’d ever tried since I started playing WoW in 2007. It was horrible.

But what if they changed furor right now instead of later? Instead of fixing the bug.
That would be an interesting buff.
I mean they want to do the change now, instead of later for Wotlk.
Why not change that as well?
Because with the Furor Buff, came the powershift nerf, so why just give powershift nerf instead of furor buff? kekw
We just want cat to resemble how it played from 2.0 - 2.2, any changes beyond that aren’t what we’re looking for. Just want a rotation that is more fun and fluid to play.

Atleast the vast majority of us.

As much as I support reverting the change, Blizzard simply doesn’t care. Maybe if every feral player unsubbed, maybe, it would make them take notice similar to the honor snafu of a few days ago. But even then, with how few feral players there are likely to be, Blizz would just shrug it off and not lose a wink of sleep. They’ll still make their money off subs, boosts, deluxes and clones. After that they don’t care so sadly it’s unlikely that the feral change will get reverted.
Still, for what it’s worth: #FixTheTick

Thats his entire argument, that its a change, so im kind of trolling a bit. I was on so i thought i’d enjoy myself.
Just want my spec fixed.

Seems pretty clear to me why… they don’t think a hybrid class should out dps anything, PERIOD. Think of all the QQ from rogues and warriors! Druid had tons of nerfs in TBC because they accidentally made the class strong for once and “pure” classes were crying too much.
There has been alot of responses here, hopefully blizzard considers responding

Were not asking to be god dps we just want to play a fun flowing class, either way its not mandatory to shift but that gives the spec some flexability to play
