Taking away adaptive swarm, why? I love this spell. You talk about “button bloat” - get rid of Groven Warden. I hate these stupid trees. I hate that I am basically forced to take this talent. It’s what made my toolkit feel clunky, not adaptive swarm.
“Heart of the wild playstyle” - why? Why do you want to make us more about HoTW? If I am healing, I want to HEAL. This is why adaptive swarm was good, did DPS passively bouncing around so I didn’t have to hard cast DPS spells. I have HoTW but I rarely ever actually “use it” because I am focused on healing, not DPSing. If I wanted to DPS, I would have played a DPS.
Over all, I really hate the changes to Resto druid so far, which I have always had as my “main” since I started playing in 2009. I am also unsure if I even want to play this expansion if this is the direction you’re going with my favorite class/spec

So while i agree i hate groven guardians i hate them for a different reason. Resto druid is a proactive healer like disc we ramp to get big heals during big damage windows. GGs doesnt fit into that play style as they just spam nourish. which is great for spot healing but they have regrowth and swiftmend for quick burst heals.
I personally prefer the more ramp style of resto druid as it takes skill vs now where 30% of your healing is GGs why blizz wants resto druid to always have nourish is beyond me Rdruids hate nourish and when we are force to use it always feels weird.
But the heart of the wild is awesome. i love cat weaving in keys and having that heal while i do damage is going to be awesome. tho i will miss my adaptive swarm and watching it bounce around everywhere was super fun.

I refuse to catweave. I will die on this hill. I’m tired of all my healers being turned into melee dps.
Oddly, I’m fine with trees— for Resto only. Balance trees tick me off. And I am pretty cheesed about Adaptive Swarm.

Adaptive swarm was fun in almost all forms of content. Both pve and pvp.
Adaptive Swarm and Convoke both tick off so many boxes.
Satisfying to press.
Beautiful visuals.
Always feels impactful
Feels like a natural part of the rotations
Scales perfectly with mastery
Requires skill and choices whether to use it offensively or defensively.
It is a great spell and should not be removed.

There was nothing interesting about pressing swarm on cooldown. Visually, it’s barely noticeable. GG isslightly more interesting, visually and mechanically (due to tier bonuses). And it looks like hero talents will let you choose whether you play around them or not.

I personally won’t miss adaptive swarm, it was one of the many bloat mini cooldowns that I think the game is better off without. Another good one to remove, also from resto druid, would be cenarion ward.
I agree that grove guardians are too powerful and should have a competitive passive alternative (even though I love that spell and would keep it for the added control it brings)
The difference is Cenarion Ward isn’t interactive. It’s just another heal, it’s basically a stronger Rejuv on a cooldown. It’s boring.
Adaptative Swarm is proactive in the sense that you have to think on which target to reapply it, to not overcap on stacks. I freaking love that spell, please Blizz, keep it. I’m no longer sure I’ll play druid with this spell removed.
Do you use the WA to optimize that? I feel like most players don’t think about it at all and just cast it on the highlighted target when the WA highlights them.

I’ve only heard of two other people who don’t just click the highlighted party frames as they come up - they cast it on enemies as well because it’s slightly more dps.
I’m allergic to WeakAura, I just keep track on the number of stacks on Blizzard’s default raid frames. I also apply it to enemies when healing isn’t an emergency or when every party member already has too many stacks.
lol wait, they gave a new visual to adaptive swarm and then remove it?
Lmao.

If xiata doesn’t like something, blizzard is on the right track
There was a mini game to optimize it by refreshing swarms at X stacks and having it slowly grow exponentially.

I agree with you. I am also over Blizzard messing with healers of all kinds. If we wanted to DPS we would be playing a DPS, but we chose to heal as a healer for a reason. I think they need to make healers more valuable in the game. It’s time to nerf group-based self-healing. Resto used to be so much fun and now it’s just becoming a utility spec that does low-grade DPS and off-healing. I think I will be turning my Resto Druid into a basic farmer for mats in war within.
Rdruid at the start of DF was s tier. It died the moment they nerfed flourish and brought in the trees.

I feel like alot of the resto druid healing is lacking when it comes to other healers in raid. Many healing class has hots and instant big heals too. Why do resto druid have such weak hots that other healers can just overlapped with their big heal crit? Also, INVIGORATE SKILLS IS NOT WORKING properly. It says Refreshes the duration of your active Lifebloom and Rejuv effects on the target and causes them to complete 200% fast… When i use it. All it does is reduce the hots to 6 sec and it heals the same amount.
Another brilliant (sarcasm) decision by the Blizzard team. Playing this spec, in PVP, atm is crap. Instead of breaking more things, why don’t you concentrate on fixing some of the real issues that continue to plaque game since it’s inception… stuck in combat, auto loot not working all the time, bugs with quest givers, etc.
I would like, in raid, for the mana to be much better. I know they want us to use master shapeshifter but I’m not enjoying it, please just make rejuvenation cost 0 mana.
