Corporal Maga was added to the game in 2008 when Wrath of the Lich King launched. She existed long before Donald Trump ran for office in 2016 with the slogan âMake America Great Againâ so her name has nothing to do with politics.

You have proof that âstraight white malesâ have been pandered to for millennia? What about in places where there were no white males, for thousands of years? I donât have a problem with having a realistic amount of representation for âother than straight white malesâ, but making representation of a VERY small minority take priority is not correct. Also, since when does âMaleâ and âFemaleâ represent only âwhite malesâ? I am quite certain that there are male and female humans of every kind and a vast majority of them are straight.

Depends on whether the âMexicansâ consider themselves US citizens or Mexican citizens. There seems to be some confusion of that fact that âMexicanâ is a nationality, not a race. There are a mix of races in Mexico and that is where the name âMexicoâ comes from. Just like I have ancestors from other countries, but I have never lived in those countries and donât speak their languages, so I am a US citizen and do not claim to be a citizen of one of those countries.

I like to know how telling OP that we canât just go around removing names because of subjective opinions that they think they are related when they are really not, and are made before the political phrase was popular again, and words/phrases has more then one definition, and can describe completely different things(shocker, i know.), and that they should just get over it, means their Right Wing or MAGA Cultists.

As somebody who does dislike Trump and is a liberal like myself, I have to agree with Carhagen. The NPCâs name has nothing to do with politics given the time it was made. Just like everything else before, during and atfer that time period because it was clear that wasnât the intention Blizzard had while creating that character.
That was on you for thinking that. Infact, you went out of your way to find this character, while the rest of the normal population wouldnât even know she existed (because she only had like one quest, Mopping Up), just to change things for the worse without realizing the consequences of that in the future when applied equally. As iâve said in my first comment that youâve conveniently ignored.
This is why i donât let Trump live rent free in my head like youâve done. Itâs poisoning your mind and disallowing you to think clearly.

Wrong, people get upset every time a different skin tone is used for characters. Even for this game, despite said skin tones making up either equal or more amount (World wide) than white skin tones. :3
Same thing for Women in a lot of roles especially if itâs a leading role, imagine that.
Just to point something out as well, you just go off of how many people there are in general and not out of those that play video games, or those that are interested in WoW. You, specifically, donât know the demographic of WoW itself.
To give an example of demographics - around 85% of furries are LGBTQIA+, with a quarter to a third of that being transgender.
The people that defend a certain orange man love to point that out to say he couldnât be racist towards them since itâs a nationality, not a race. Curious, that.
Probably why it should be changed, to be quite honest. All the people saying âWell the NAME came first!â yeah, well so did the a lot of names or logos that are related to some pretty awful stuff at this point.

You do realize that Corporal Maga was added during WotLK, aka back in 2008, 8 years prior to that particular election, itâs also a proper noun, being their name, and not an acronym for a campaign slogan.
What you are asking for is basically like if we should rename every one named ERIC due to an old slogan thing that was done which resulted in alot of folks bottling up and not dealing with their emotions (Emotional Reactions Impede Control) and other such, justâŚno. Corporal Maga is an OG npc/quest giver, so maybe do a little research on the history of something before screaming for it to be changed.
God, itâs no different than people wanting to keep confederate generals as the names of schools/statues of them up as âproud monumentsâ when the history of why they were erected is so tainted.
