As said in the WoWHead post here.
It is way beyond the spirit of Plunderstorm/BR for EVERYONE have an ESP(Extra-Sensory Perception) (unless there is a new ability in the future that would give such things) to know EVERYONE location (players and moster included) to a certain radius.
Like seriously? How “fun” is this when for example… you’re the type of player who are sneaky and /lay /sleep so people don’t see you visually, but with this, they still see you,because the character of the nameplates is so big that they will notice you.
Or perhaps, that you’re looking for action and see like 4 people fighting each other(not seeing their characthers attackign each other, but nameplating overlapping each other) and you’re the only one on your side, KNOWING that you are safe, instead of be in alert.
This is REALLY ABUSIVE at the core, and IMO an UNINTENDED USE of the function.
Please fix.
