Please remove shadow techniques

It is atrocious to play around and I’m skeptical that even snd will make it in any way enjoyable. Why does this “ability” even exist? It is RNG cp and while I know Blizzard is obsessed with things such as RNG ,gambling ,endless grinds, I don’t think such design should be in our actual gameplay. I mean surely they learned that from outlaw?

Take a look at the new SL ability that is based on cp spent, you think sitting there doing literally nothing but waiting for a passive to proc off my autoattack is good design to gain a CP and not overcap? If I wanted to do that, I’d play this wheelchair.

How about giving back anticipation or something INTERESTING? Why don’t we just have HaT? What was the POINT of removing a better cp generation for a worse one? My brain hurts just thinking about their current class design seriously its mind blowing…

They just need to replace Shadow Techniques passive in place of our old Energetic Recovery passive. Slice & Dice return, however, is amazing.

I think that even if we keep Shadow Techniques passive, that this passive will feel better in SL than it did in BFA - And thats BECAUSE Slice & Dice is returning in SL.

  • Energetic Recovery would be amazing because it’d promote our Hit-&-Run playstyle which is what Sub is mostly about.
    I will say, however, that Shadow Techniques will atleast feel decent as well due to the fact that Cheap Shot got nerfed to cost higher energy - This means that during Dance goes where a lot of our globals go into Cheap Shot that the consistent energy regen from Shadow Techniques due to having Slice & Dice up will feel very nice during Shadow Dance windows.

tldr;

  • Returning Slice & Dice back to Sub is an amazing change because Sub used to have a good amount of finishers that did something other than damage (Slice & Dice / Recup / Expose Armor, etc) - Currently Sub literally has NONE of these finishers anymore, so bringing back a finisher such as Slice & Dice makes strides in returning Sub’s original & best design - a spec revolved around preemption, planning, forethought, execution.
    And while Shadow Techniques is a poor-mediocre version of Energetic Recovery, this passive will atleast feel better & more useful in SL because of Slice & Dice.

Just wish they’d go that last mile needed to return Energetic Recovery passive rather than Shadow Techniques passive.

Random combo point generation for a class that’s supposed to be about precision and planning is just stupid and whoever thought of shadow techniques is also stupid.
