Please remove reputation requirement for allied races

Or at least make it to me friendly/revered.
I want to level a void elf, but I will not spend 4 weeks of boring world quest farming in legion to be able to do it, I will cancel my sub before submitting myself to boring farming.
Or at least give us a way to get this reputation by wearing a tabard and doing dungeons or battlegrounds…

I mean… pretty sure it’s not going to happen, plus grinding those reps are so easy…

Blizzard removes reputation requirement from old Allied races.

Instead make’s it so you have to pay 5-10$ in the store instead.

See what your hubris has wrought!

There is a grind? I race changed to a Velf the day they became available.

They are gonna 2 x rep rewards with 8.1 so it will take like 1 week of dailies at Argus.

I got the BFA and still doing the Rep grinding for WOD pathfinder here btw. LOL

Couldn’t post this in one of the other multiple threads instead of creating more spam?

I’m against removal of requirements. But I’m not against different ways to earn the rep.

I came back to wow in the last month of legion, I didn’t even knew allied races were behind a grind wall, if you played through legion you probably got exalted with it anyway by repeating world quests.

In 8.1 this next Tuesday it gets 2x faster. They won’t remove requirement but they are making it easier

All reputation rewards will be doubled in 8.1?

Arrogant response not helpful. We’re glad you’re better than all of us.

Eh. Allied races dont affect me, but personally removing the rep grinds would make the cost for them properly reflect the worth in development effort.

Just Argus WQs as I know

Dont you start at friendly? Lol. I could see them easing up on the less current ones maybe revered for void elf, lightbound, nightborn, and hm tauren. But the new ones definitely not its current expac reps so i think they should only ease to revered when the reps are woth previous xpac

I do wonder, in light of how dramatically easier it is to get heritage now from the “main” races, if they’re going to reconsider how allied races and/or their heritage armor is acquired.

As an example:

I’m a new player, just purchased BfA and have my 110 boost. I want to get into the latest stuff and I want to play an elf character.

Do I boost a character I don’t want to play full time and spend weeks grinding for Nightborne or Void Elves and then level up a character through a broken and poorly designed low level system and get their heritage armor or do I just boost a Blood Elf/Night Elf, grab their tabbard and go to TBC dungeons for a day or so grinding heroic dungeons to get to exalted, then level to 120 and unlock the heritage armor in a fraction of the time it would take me to do the same with the Nightborne/Void Elves?

I’m of the opinion that they need to either

A) Unlock ALL Allied Races for free and gate their heritage armor behind getting exalted with their respective rep (similar to what’s being done with the ‘old’ races)

or

B) Offer accounts one free race change once they unlock an allied race and remove the ‘Level to 110’ requirement to obtain the heritage armor, since technically that character already has exalted with the appropriate faction (since this is a barrier that the older races don’t have to face, they can just boost their characters, get exalted, get to 120 and then they have access to their armor quest)

Allied Races currently have restrictions and penalties that the main races simply don’t have and it seems incredibly foolish to me to punish players by making them jump through exponentially more stuff (tedious stuff to boot) in order to play a race/class combo they want to play, race class combos that they marketed as a selling point for this expansion!!!

Me too! I like, played the game, and the day they were available, I had one!

Someone didn’t read the assigned material. This was public knowledge for months prior to the release of BfA.

Not better. Just better prepared.

So you found the secret hack as well.

Then I guess your quitting because there are no plans to remove the rep.

Legion rep gains are getting a boost, but that’s the closest you’ll get.

No, it takes 2 weeks max to get the rep. Go earn the reward like everyone else.

Where is this broken leveling system? Because I have various alts that are leveling just fine, and on top of that next patch xp required to lvl in the “worst brackets” is getting reduced.

Bfa races are fine and should stay as are, it’s current content. You should be doing it anyway and gaining the rep.

Legion races are about to have their grind cut in half thanks to the increase in reputation gains coming.

Your argument for new players is kinda valid, but considering allied races are hidden behind the main races in character creation and it is advertised and well known among the community that they require some work to unlock, I doubt that there are that many new players joining thinking “I want to be a nightborne!!” On their first log in.

It’s more like they will be lvl 35 and run into another player playing and ask “how you do?” And once they find out the requirements they will run to the forums complaining.

It is very little effort and not at all a grind if you just do the weekly quests from Illidan and Turalyon and emissaries when the pop up.
