PLEASE Remove portal hint for quest guide

Or giving a option to shut it down. This function is totally a trash.

I was following the stroy line of ‘son of shadow and light’ (LOL poor illidan), as the quest ‘an unclear path’. When I finished the chapter in valsharah, the quest guide didnt tell me anything about next location to go, but telling me to use the portal in azsuna going back to stormwind.

OK, I wont fly that far. I’ll just hearthstone to Braless then use the stormwind portal there.
After that, the guide told me to use the portal to twillight highlands. OK, I start wondering is there anything to do with that place for a legion patch quest.

Then, guess what. What showes on the ui is like:

Quests

( ? ) An Unclear Path
Ready for turn-in

and NOTHING ELSE is shown on the damn twillight highlands’ map.
What I only can see is a yellow arrow on the mini map. And finally I found the arrow is pointing at EASTERN PLAGUELANDS.

Yes, I’m a god damn paladin and they are telling me to go back to my order hall from :
Val’sharah->Azsuna->Stormwind->Twillight highlands------->>>>>>Eastern Plaguelands->Order hall

Why can’t you just tell me where to go and I will use my lovely [Dalaran Hearthstone] to solve all the problems?

There are alot of stories like this happen since patch 8.2 released on me. I tolerated them all. But what happens today really ignited me. This is NOT testing realm. I wonder if your game designers and coders played your own game.

By the way, if I really want to go twillight highlands, I’d rather use my [Baradin’s Wardens Tabard]. That is far more faster. So, STOP playing clever on this.

NICE, the story continues.

For the next quest Xera gave me, it asked me heading for Ironforge. Since my hearthstone is in cooldown, I used my [Clock of Coordination] teleporting to Stromwind, then using the portal for Ironforge through Boralus.
After I reached the (1) mark on the map of Ironforge. I finded out its the subway station! (Sorry I’m a spy from horde. I’ve totally no eye deer that location means subway before I travel)
As I sense something very very bad. I opened details for this quest and found, the destination is at val’sharah.

At that moment, my hearthstone, dalaran hearthstone and stromwind cloak are all running cooldown.

Yeah I am finding it annoying , also I am not getting any info on mobs when there part of a quest , If I have to kill 12 Naga I use to mouse over and it would say there for "Kill 12 naga quest , maybe that was from an addon not sure

Well that is another story.
It’s like the designers remove the area hint intentionally. Somehow like the classic did. And they bring some of the hint back in the recent update, cuz players all complaining about it.

Hmmm…you posting this from a phone? And if so why did Boralus get auto corrected into braless*…what kinda “interesting” conversations have you been having? :thinking:

I HATE it, make it harder to see where you actually have to go and in most cases makes you take a portal to only head back to the zone I was just in… FIX IT BLIZZARD

It isn’t even a hint. Usually it sends you in the wrong direction anyway.

Or at-least give us the option to turn it off. It’s so broken and useless its not funny.

All I want is to know the END POINT of the quest. I do not need any of these miss-leading hints that just waste my time. Even for new players they’re incredibly frustrating.

I can only surmise they’re made to do just that, waste time to add to the play-time metric.

i horde quests in my logs to finish when i like and they are constantly putting quest markers up in irrelevant locations. pretty annoying

I had one that wanted me to go through the Dark Portal to get to Shattrath when I just happened to be flying by the Blasted Lands.

…The Dark Portal doesn’t even work anymore to do that.

its does if you talk to bronze dragon flight but yea you have to actually talk to them for that hint to be active. the hint doesn’t even tell you to talk to them first which is garbage

Makes it more challenging. Makes it so you appreciate it more finding the right area to finish the quest. It’s about the journey. Yah dig?

We’ll probably have to get exalted with the Ion for it to work properly again. Let the humping of many tedious world quests begin.

The fact that it says (optional) is the laughable part. It’s not an option if I can’t even figure out where the endpoint is and the quests offers absolutely no hint what-so-ever. This is especially evident in the Island Expedition quest items you pick up. Just useless. :frowning:

This, it’s been broken for me since they did the “remove all portals” patch. Doesn’t matter if you go forward or backwards in time, the only way to get to Outland old or new is through portals in Org/SW.
