That is the price of running a curated set of dungeons vs a random list. When you try to control the pool to better suite your needs you lose the bonuses awarded for throwing yourself at the mercy of LFD (random)

Ok, but at that point you might as well just not do dungeons. It would be a waste of your time without the bonus xp, youâd get more xp from quests.
Itâs a solution sure, but itâs not a good solution. Although I guess neither is removing the dungeon from lfd entirely, like OP said.

Well maybe if the tanks would stop treating it like M+ where you have to fill the bar as well as get through the bosses to get their 1 or 2 chests.
If you want speed runs stick with M+ dungeons . Not like TW is going to give you much .

It is THE solution. You just donât like that it doesnât slather you in rewards for finishing a linear narrative mode.

If itâs that big of a deal to skip the dungeon then there is your option. Canât you also just pick a different timeline to queue for the dungeons in?

I think that is the problem, not Old Hillsbrad.
The game has turned into a Diablo AoE loot simulation.
Time for Blizzard to stop being lazy and bring us a live breathing world where collective player decisions have meaningful impact. Iâm tired of endlessly chasing loot, mounts, and other crap.

OP, you are part of whatâs wrong with WoW nowadays, everyone just wants to be done with everything 10 minutes ago. Stop trying to turn leveling dungeons into a time trial, you have Mythic+ for that.

What does entitlement have to do with this? You would get more xp from completing 4 or 5 quests, than you would from killing a bunch of mobs in a dungeon, in the same amount of time.
âTHEâ solution would be to just not do the timeline with dungeons you donât like in it. You still get the rewards, and you get to skip the dungeon.
I donât mind the dungeon myself. I donât do those dungeons very often, I donât even remember which expansion itâs from. Lol
Iâm just trying to say that I donât think doing specific queues is a good solution to OPâs problem, because you would level like 10x slower. Sure it solves the problem- OP doesnât need to run hillsbrad anymore, but it just causes more problems because you get almost no xp from a specific queue.
Like you said, (and like I just said above in this post) the best solution to this problem, imo anyway would be to just level in a different timeline. You still get the xp, and you donât have to do Old Hillsbrad. It can still show up if the queues are too long and you hit the button to queue for all expansions, but that shouldnât happen too often, because thereâs like 1000 dungeons that can show up.

Yeah I agree on that I think this would be the way to solve it. Plenty of other timelines with great dungeons and not as much RP to sit through.
I donât mind it either but I also havenât actually seen it come up in a long time.

Personally I think Blizzard should just have the classic concept of:
Bigger time = Bigger reward
So dungeons like Old Hilsbrad etc, the really long ones â To give bonus exp, higher gear drops and maybe edit the follow NPCs to walk / run faster & put some fun rare drops in (pets, mounts or toys).
That way instead of just removing something that others may enjoy â You make it better for more people to enjoy. Providing greater rewards for the struggle & time poured in.

@Senaldor, I am leveling alts to get to Dragon Isles and end game. Plus, I have been playing WoW for 18 years; I think there is very little old content, other than Shadowlands, that I have not seen.
To answer your question on why not skip BC Chromie Time, I love BC and WOTLK because the first time you run them, you get 2-3 quests and the bonus, which translates to 2-3 levels per 10 minutes. But even after that, the 10-minute BC runs make it easier to level. Also, Iâm not sure if you saw my earlier comment, but even when I was in the Legion Chromie Time, I still got Old Hillsbrad this morning. That, Black Morass, and BRD popped up this morning. I am just picking on Old Hillsbrad because I got that 3 times. Again, this is not supposed to punish anyone. I think my suggested solution is a win/win for everyone.
@Aussielight, this is a great suggestion, perhaps just increase the xp rewards for story dugeon, or make the npc faster

I think that what you donât like is probably enjoyed by other players. So no, no removing dungeon.
I think itâs kind of a self perpetuating cycle. Posters deal with contrarians all day, build up resentment, and then just employ the same behaviors theyâve dealt with for so long, turning around and creating new contrarians themselves. A problem with forums and SM in general.
