Please Remove Esports from WoW and make it an MMO again

Seasons, 30928349 difficulties, esports, the top 1% Raider club etc. All of this has ruined WOW. Please just get rid of it and design the game to be an MMO again and not whatever the hell this theme park predictable garbage WoW has become.

How about designing the game like the top 1% doesn’t exist.

Because more than the top 1% enjoys Keys, raiding and/or PVP. We have every right to play how we like as much as you do.

Uh, that’s what OP is basically saying you’re just wanting confrontation and not realizing you’re both on the same “side”.

I wouldn’t say it ruined WoW necessarily. Made the high end inaccessible to a good number of the player base, sure, but not ruined it any way.

The top 1% has the smallest amount of content designed specifically for them, so basically mission accomplished.

Huh? They are advocating for the stuff I enjoy doing to be removed in favor of stuff they want. I want my stuff to stay and them to be able to do what they want to do.

The players who enjoy these things keep the game running by playing and paying more than you do.

I don’t think anything would change except maybe a few more nerfs on 1-2 mythic bosses earlier.

What do you think would change?

WoW has always been a theme park MMO. The only other type of MMO is sandbox. I’m unsure which is being asked for here, because if it isn’t theme park then they literally need to make WoW 2 as a sandbox.

Not to be rude but can you read? OP literally said to get rid of it all.

First reply is 100% valid.

no thank you.
play classic if that’s what you want

Blaming the top 1% won’t fix your issues with the game.

Or you can stop crying about what other people enjoy doing and focus on your own gameplay. Nobody is asking your “easy” content to be taken away just because they don’t play it.

Yeah, yeah, nah, yeah, nah.

Didn’t less than 10% of the playerbase even enter Naxx back in 2004 or something?

Top end raiding has always been inaccessible to a good number of the playerbase. And honestly, with 4 layers of difficulty and flexible raid sizes raiding has never been more accessible to people.

Pretty much, some people only think of Onyxia and Molten core and of the easiest raids they have ever done when making that argument in my opinion.

we cant have cool things like the paladin heroic leap they removed bc ‘‘balance’’ and ‘‘how it will affect 20 + keys’’ bruh who cares, make every1 class OP and fun, what about the ‘‘rider of apocalypse’’ dk unholy hero talent make they fight while mounted? classes don’t need to be homogeneous for the 1% of tryhards, they need to be fun

e-sports is just…the dumbest term ever. Just call it professional video games, or professional gaming.

The Paladin “heroic leap” never even made it to testing on the PTR. It was a datamined file, like hundreds of others, of random non-implemented things.

It had nothing to do with “the 1%” or anything you’re trying to scapegoat that a spell never even put on the PTR wasn’t implemented.
