Getting deserter from being kicked from a group at the start after tank pulls too much for a vanilla dungeon in retail. Being a healer of decent experience I time all my HoTs pretty good so much so I end up third in average DPS. Please nerf the damage output of your dungeon Strathholme. This tank was level 60, seemed pretty geared as well as knew what he was doing. But as all things seem well on the outlook, in reality, nothing could be further. As this guy grabs one mob, then the second chunks of 25%-30% health drop-in seconds before my HoTs even tick the next set - Mind you I was not even going to attempt DPS knowing all this in mind. And donât even get me started on the abominations. But at the end, or should I say very beginning of this I was vote booted out before we could even get to a boss, as such I am destroyed by a stupid 30-minute debuff to which I thought Iâd give the time and post my vented frustration out on the forums and hope maybe one day Blizzard would re-think their scaling and or LFG strategies. Or maybe just remove the debuff for voted out people altogether.
Thanks for reading, I hope to never do that dungeon again, but considering how the scaling works currently Iâm sure I will suffer this dreadful dungeon until 60+.
i will agree that maybe a debuff for being vote kicked is a bad system, but the scaling is dungeons are fine IMO. the debuff for being vote kicked can be abused.
Honestly you shouldnt be able to vote kick some one for poor play. This content is already insanely easy compared to how it started.
A few wipes or mistake here and there should not be something that immediately causes everyone to point the finger and demand replacements.
Not sure what the rest of your points were, but either way i agree that getting kicked because some one else thinks your actions are not good enough for leveling dungeons is not something that should even be allowed, let alone punished for.
It should only be for afk players or otherwise not participating.
No, I am NOT doing this! No, we are NOT going forward - youâre going to kick me so I can get into a better instance. No I donât give a single damn that you waited for half and hour and my queue was instant! Youâre going to kick me right now so I donât take a debuff and you can wait for another tank drool inclined enough to waste their time with this armpit of an instance.
This is why Vote-kick carries with it the deserter debuff.
First off, banning kicking for poor play would be utterly unenforceable. How would the system know if youâre kicking someone because theyâre not that good or because theyâre just doing the bare minimum to not automatically go afk? Who decides if the tank isnât taunting because they canât find the button or if itâs because they just donât care?
That aside, why shouldnât it be allowed? Why should the four members of the group that can do their job be forced to choose between carrying a useless fifth or leaving themselves? If you want a group that you know is going to put up with you not being good at your role, find friends or guildies.
Sure, if youâre ready to see a constant stream of âI hate this place; kick me and find a new tankâ whenever you get into an unpopular dungeon.
Remove the debuff from those whom were kicked? Why? So Tanks and/or Healers can hold groups hostage again because the luck of the draw was not on their side? NO thank you.
Thatâs just what I call tanking arrogance, being a tank before taught me all about it but seeing it first hand was ridiculous and whatâs stopping the tank to just throw the vote up and knowing people just blindly press the yes button not knowing the real issue.
Is that an issue with the person initiating the vote or the people that just hit âyesâ without asking a question? Technically you can kick anyone for anything. Someone can kick you because they donât like your name. If the rest of the group is just going to hit âyesâ without wondering why, thatâs more on them rather than the person that initiated the kick.
Ya basically handle it like battlegrounds. As long as they are participating then that should be enough.
These are dungeons that have been nerfed dozens of times and ways since their inception.
That really should be all thats need at this point, honestly.
If the suggestion is outlier dungeons that are harder than others we need specifics to be discussed and addressed but everything ive done you just fly though and thats frankly without any type of maximization at all.
I was going to say âBoy the damage of these mobs are crazy!â To the tank but before I could even type the ending I see myself in SW with a 30 minute timeout. So saying nothing with your head down clearly full extent of a druid healer capability at level 50 was not enough.
