The title, the reason Strands was removed is because no one like Siege maps. The reason we play and gear our characters is to use our abilities in Player vs Player combat. We been asking for Blacklisting again for years but instead we have to keep AFKing or leaving Siege maps. Just put them to rest once and for all. Then design some actual PvP maps where the players you know… fight against other players.
It wouldn’t be terrible if Sieges did no damage to players and you had to PvP around them but it’s just stupid the way they are now. Remove them be done with it and move on to new and better BGs please and thanks.
There needs to be at least 3 New BGs sooner then latter.
PS - There is ZERO reason to not have Blacklisting! ZERO! Since it gives the Devs great Data on BGs that everyone is Blacklisting so they can either be improved or removed. This isn’t complicated.
There was a very niche minority that I guess liked it. However it’s just not what players want in this game. We want to use our characters abilities and attacks. It’s why we play a RPG (gear based game)
I commented many times in the Epic forums to fix Isle and WG because they are just so overtuned and still broken. However it’s just been years. Remove them and be done with it. Players are just over these dumpsterfires. Then backing filling into and leaving so more back fill and leave. Just break the cycle.
Blizz doesn’t care to make PvP fun. Take out half the stuns and reduce the remaining stuns’ duration by 50%. It’s no fun standing around stunned 90% of the time until you die. Also balance WG. I was gone for 12 years, back for 1 year and WG is still just as broken today as it was last Sept. A whole year of broken WG offense. There’s no excuse for that. Hence Blizz just doesn’t care.
I think that siege maps could work, but maybe in a different way. It could instead be kind of a BG where maybe there are layers of “defense” and each time you lose X amount of whatever, the defenders get pushed back or something. Though I personally LOVE the siege battlegrounds, but I think I am totally in a minority. We honestly just need MORE battlegrounds, just more. They don’t even have to be that complicated xd
I don’t get why you are trolling this thread, I can at least fix that though by adding you to the perma ignored list. Only if we had in game QoL fixes as good as these forums like Blacklisting that make the game better for everyone.
Then remove Siege maps so we can move forward with better PvP for everyone. Add in some new Epics and regular BGs. This games PvP can offer so much more to the players.
You aren’t wrong. Most CC and displacement CC needs to be toned down or removed. Kyrian spear, Aboms limb etc shouldn’t work in PvP where you are constantly getting gripped. Just DCed from a BG because I was gripped so much.
Then remove Shadowrift, burrow pet and abilities that can go through walls. It’s no fun when you can’t LoS or play your character. Part of PvP is being able to actually move.
this whole thread is a troll. all through bfa you posted thread after thread attacking the scaling and asking for gear to matter and for scaling to be gone. well, they listened, and we got the worst pvp experience ever.
the seige maps thing isn’t even new from you either, you always qq about how its not true pvp, but when pointed to random bgs, rated bgs, wpvp, and arena as outlets to get that, you stomp your feet and say no.
you want to have your cake and eat it too, i think we’ve heard enough from you.
This is the main problem, they are so so far off base on what a Siege map should be like they just need to abandon the idea. I rather they put efforts into New BGs that people actually will like instead of keeping these BGs that people obviously hate.
Don’t listen to Abomb. He thinks twinking is where “real PvP” is at and AFKs out of BGs to avoid embarrassing deaths. He does not speak for me, nor does he speak for most other players, I would imagine. His opinions are trash, including this one.
I don’t think the average player leaves BGs because they want Blizzard to fix them. It primarily seems to be an issue with people like you and Zeela, who are afraid of showing up on someone’s Imgur album
