Please remove 50% of CCs

Crowd Controls are a serious joke. I cannot tolerate going 4v1 and not even getting a single point of damage out, CC locked until death. A player already has a disadvantage when there are more enemy players against him/her, now throw in a chain of CCs and you may as well go afk. Way too many CCs in this game.

Some players don’t understand that.

the game is “created” around 3v3 combat. anything different and you are supposed to get killed quickly. or perhaps like now you see rated bg with 5 heals out of the 10 slots. they troll you to death.

Please don’t ask for the removal of anything more. That is what got us into the situation we are in now…prune, prune and prune some more.

There should never be a chance there is 4 people versus you. Did you run into 4 people on purpose. I can see it now.

What you are asking for is a buff to diminishing returns

Not really a buff, more of a having different kinds of CC on the same diminishing returns.

For instance I believe for a rogue, Sap, Stun, blind are all considered different categories so all have separate DR.

Instead of different categories they should all fall under Silence or Immobilized.

Silence would be anything which prevents you from using abilities, but you can move around.

Immobilized anything which prevents you moving/controlling your character.

It’s definitely not fun to run into a melee assist train in a BGs, particularly as a caster… even if you’re not alone and are surrounded by your teammates, the train just keeps you locked down with something like stun → stun → kick → snare → intim shout. If you have a healer deadset on keeping you alive you might survive but otherwise it’s a death sentence. With all the gap closers in the game it doesn’t even help to tstorm or exploding trap the rolling melee cluster apart.

One main issue is how long CC is. Sorry but a 6 sec stun is an eternity then you can get stunned again. No stun should be longer than 4 sec.

No fear poly or roots should be longer than 5 sec

Rather than changing lengths I think it might be better to make all CC break more easily. It shouldn’t be a given that any target can and will be taken out of commission for the max possible combined CC duration.

Additionally, mindlessly piling on CC’s should be punished, so so for example if a stun lands on a player who’s already stunned, the first stun is removed and the second takes on the remaining duration of the first.

You could probably design CC such that skillful CC chains can be effective while at the same time punishing zerglings who just dump all CC onto a single target and score a kill.

BTW, free action potions can be used to punish CC spammers. It’s one of the reasons why I can still win 1v2s in this game regularly.

this already happens to a degree. If you apply a stun to a currently stunned target, they go from 2/3 DR instead of 1/3 DR. Missing out on a diminishing return window.

Being the lone guard at a node that’s being advanced on doesn’t count eh?
