Please RE-Merge OCE+US

Better get a DNA test, if I was your wife I’d be pissed with how little time you have allocated for her.

warcraftlogs post ignore teehee

Post wasn’t a flex, it was pointing out the ludicrous argument made by Goon regarding how people with full-time jobs can’t be 70 and geared yet.

No one is stopping you transferring to NA to get 1hr AV q’s and 250 ping

Do you understand that your opinion literally does not matter because you don’t arena? Please leave the forum asap and do all the competitive players here a favour instead of making this forum unreadable cause you spam it with trashy opinions and solutions.

Every single high rated arena player on OCE wants it merged because there are no q’s. Do you also understand that arena/bgs on OCE are merged with US on retail? It’s always been like that so what are you crying about?
The matter of fact is that OCE players are not only unable to get proper q’s in arena, but we share the same arena ladder as US meaning it is quite impossible to obtain any rewards. That obviously makes no sense and shows quite clearly to any person with half a brain that OCE should be merged with US West.

Damn bro, you really getting this upset over someone else having a different opinion than you on an open forum where discussions are freely available for all?

I haven’t posted or given this thread a free bump in like 2 days, so I’m not sure why you continue to write posts to me calling me a spammer lmfao when you’re trying to provoke me for a response.

Who are you by the way? Another Arugal nobody

Why don’t we just merg with the Chinese battlegroups for BG’s and arenas? We get to keep our low ping and will have more people to play against?

Now we’re talking

I mean even just merg arenas with them and not battlegrounds (You sometimes need to talk to your team in BG’s). You don’t need to communicate or talk to them at all. As long as there is no p2w mechanics on the Chinese servers that will effect pvp then this should solve it.

low ping and plenty of people to arena against.

NA West technically will provide a better ping for the majority of Oce people than Asia sadly, only a smaller portion will find the benefit there on Asia ping.

Asia is closer geographically, but latency wise due to the underwater cables and directions they take, there’s more hops that takes place for the average user in OCE

So if it does have to be merged with another group, it has to be NA for OCE

After doing some tests between WoW locations across the world these are some results. We will get latency which will allow Australia to be competitive in arenas if we stuck with Asia. Once you hit above 200 you start to lose a lot of games all down to latency. Plenty of experience on private servers with this and I would rather quit then go back to this unplayable MS.

? Location: Latency: Average: Status:
United States 234 234 Done
Taiwan 114 114 Done
Korea 185 185 Done
Europe 306 306 Done
Australia 25 25 Done

Here are the IP addresses if you want to test yourself. I’m from Sydney as a reference.

Yup I also posted the same tests IP’s above too

Keep in mind this is very subjectable to where the player is in Australia, and how many hops that individual’s provider has to go through before reaching it’s destination.

Asia might be fine for you, but it won’t be for a larger portion of people.

More people will benefit from NA than Asia in the OCE region (purely based on where the underwater cables are laid) / hops, but some will of course notice better Asia ping.

I’m on the no merger train, but if it has to be done, has to be US West

Considering the largest part of Australians are all east coast players I don’t think it would be an issue for a larger portion of Australia.

but if it has to be done, has to be US West

You keep saying this but nothing to show why. You didn’t post any latency results. I’m from Sydney and it’s saying otherwise. If I’m getting these results then the majority of Australian players are likely to be the same or very similar due to majority of of players being east coast players.

I’m not on the merg train either.

You might have forgot to copy and paste the latency results. These just the IP numbers.

Fair enough, fam. Apolgies if I misunderstood. I wish you and the missus all the best for the little one (and hope you can still squeeze in some WoW time).

The top 100 teams in the 2v2 bracket on OCE range from 2200 - 1600

I understand what you’re saying, I’m just trying to suggest that latency is subjectable to where people are from, how many hops their ISP has to go through etc. For me, US West will give me 180-200ms, US East 260-280MS, SE Asia I’ll average out around 240-260ms for me.

But my latency won’t be the same as others, I’m in New Zealand / North Island so my ping to Asia will be much higher than US West.

Some Australians will encounter better ping to Asia, but again it really comes down to where you’re physically located, how many hops your ISP will take to reach it’s destination, so it’s hard to be specific when answering that question

I do believe the majority of people will benefit from US West in comparison to Asia, New Zealand certainly won’t have a good time with Asia, it’ll feel like US East for us
