Please put crafting mats in PVP boxes

Everything I read from the Auction House Goblins is that crafting mats are cratering. People can’t get rich by spending 3 hours gathering any more (I’m told, I haven’t tried).

Whether that’s true or not, I think ore, herbs, fish, and leather should be in PVP boxes. If it is true, I think there’s ever more reason to do it. We’re not going to get super rich doing that, but PVP is a bad way to make money, and by giving up mats you help crafters and PVPers and everyone wins.

And you fight farming bots.

there are crafting mats in those boxes…

these do not need to be in boxes - easily collected from professions.

Nothing needs to be in the boxes. That’s not the question.

ok - remove the boxes entirely.

PvPers had the ability to make all kinds of gold already with the recipes/patterns that drop and the ire that sells easily.

That would further crater gathering.

Every MMO has farming. Whole communities hang out and farm together on chat or VC, though other games aren’t quite as braindead as gathering in WoW.

When mats becomes too cheap so does crafting. Why would you spend an hour crafting to make less then 5000 gold per hour. So crafters disappear and the ones remaining are very unhappy.

Players have less to spend gold on hard farmed and hoard it. When gold isn’t as easy to come by players become more conservative.

I saw this coming quite some time ago and I think Blizzard tanked the economy on purpose as certain drop rates were increased.

If farming is effectively dead for an average player then I suppose …why the heck not? the economy is already blown up and no way to reset it.

Too bad, so sad.

Boxes from wins had fish and other mats in BFA and nobody seemed to have a problem with it.

yeah, I am not sure how he thinks this will result in profit for him. nothing tanks the price like increasing the supply.

he would be far better off asking for gold but there is plenty of gold rewards if he wants to do them.

and gatherers spent months working on profession trees so they can make a profit in BFA? different systems are going to produce different results - the fact that blizzard removed the items says they decided bad idea.

Was it ever meant to be a good one?

Why would PvE items be inside of PvP rewards? You get the rewards from the content that you do, so if you want more materials, then guess what you must do.

I know, you detest PvE, well then you don’t get your materials, just saying.

I need the Ire to buy that green bomb thing so I can knock people off of Lumber Mill in Arathi Basin

PvP for a half hour and getting a relatively small quantity of mats compared to hard farming isn’t going to hurt anything. It’s a small nice perk.

Blizzard has to rethink a lot of things going forward and get people in there who react to player data and habbits rather then try to shove their ideas and systems down players throats. I swear to the almighty(ies) they ‘think tank’ around in a circle echoing “We play this way and everyone else should and needs to too!” “Stop playing wrong you stupid players!”

we each choose how we wish to play, knowing that this method of play doesn’t make a lot of gold. You’re welcome to the outcome of your decision.

times 100,000 and it makes an impact. If they want to do that, then put all the PvP recipes/patterns and ire in PvE content as well and we can crash the prices on everything.

oh and stop with the free repairs for PvPing as well since you want ‘equality’.

Then make sure there’s a druid, or shaman with you.

This one absolutely gets it, just saying.

Agreed.
You can easily farm. It is ridiculous. Nowhere compared to previous expansions where you would be outnumbered by an army of thousands of multiboxxers.

You get rousing ire from gathering stuff in war mode, regardless of whether any PvP happens (and it rarely happens if you’re just flying around gathering stuff). It’s already cheaper than all of the other rousing essences except one.

Please be advised we know that you weren’t doing. You were just saying.

That said people who have a “if you want X then do Y” attitude should see a therapist.

Well then, if pvp drops, I expect m+ to also drop them. And raid too. Might as well put mats from every world quest. Also killing stuff in storms.

Then and only then I’ll consent.
