The Patron Orders I get sent to me from the server ALL have minimum quality specifications to them, unless the item simply does not have different qualities.
Is it just an issue with the code? Has someone just not been able to implement it for the Public Orders? I will no longer use the Public Order system as I am tired of being exploited by providing the highest crafting mats I can and getting back a low quality item in return. It’s ridiculous.
I also cannot apparently put through an order for anyone on my friend’s list who is on another server as I get a “Player does not exist” message, even when they are in my group and standing next to me.
So, my only option at this point is to either guild hop to get my crafting orders done (since apparently GUILD Orders still work) or use an outside paid service to guarantee the quality of the items I want created. This is simply a ridiculous situation.
If you are going to force us to have to have high quality gear created in order for us to craft anything worthwhile, spending up to hundreds of thousands of gold for the materials, then you NEED to alter your system to stop people from exploiting it on Public Orders.
Ive had very good people in trade chat that whisper me when I need something crafted.
Never once used public orders unless its something that doesn’t have a quality scale.
Just ask in trade, im sure one of the spammers looking for service people would do it.
It’s time to advance and improve the system rather than stick to the archaic practice of ttrade spam. Let people put orders up with a minimum quality so I can go see if I want to craft something for someone at MY convencience instead of just doing patron orders.
Honestly, I haven’t had Trade Chat on since Vanilla. I got tired of all the spam, racism, political talk, conspiracy talk, etc. which constituted the bulk of that chat channel.
It and General are the two channels I immediately turn off if and when a change happens to put them back into my U.I.
I’d like to propose the addition of a “Public Recraft Order” feature or an option to “Set Minimum Quality” for crafting. Either of these would greatly improve our crafting experience. Stop telling me about the suggestion to use trade channels to find others, but I’ve found it to be quite ineffective for meaningful socializing.
I also can’t stand that the few times I’ve whispered someone that wanted something crafter, they usually found someone else first. So the current system favours people who sit there and spam trade chat all day - which they definitely do.
Now that quality of crafting doesn’t have that RNG element to it, adding in a minimum quality would be fine. Of course, almost everyone is just going to say “5* quality” (or 3* for crafting materials), but at least people would not have to complain anymore about their item being made at 3* quality by some new crafter when they really wanted 5* quality.
But maybe Blizzard just wants people to find private crafters.
just ask on trade and don’t be a jerk to people.
I can hardly ever respond in time to trade requests anymore they aren’t post more than a minute and someone has offered to fill them.
The jerk to people part comes from people who say they are sending or make you wait around while they get mats and then only send R2 mats even when they expect max rank and they want it for less than 1k gold.
I actually prefer the way it is. If all the requested orders went public orders I would never end up seeing them since people will multiple accounts just camp those tables.
Really you want to put up a piece of gear for recraft and wait arounds hours for someone to do it? Or were you planning on just playing with one slot empty?
Really? Which ones and how do they work? Not sure how an addon could force a max quality order from someone who just wanted to take my mats and gold and make “whatever”.
But wouldn’t those orders just get ignored? I mean I don’t get a LOT of orders as an Alchemist, but if someone wanted a quality five item and posted no mats or tier 1 mats wouldn’t people just laugh at that order until it expired? I am all for “Let the Buyer Beware”, but the current system pretty much shuts out any control on the part of the buyer.
Then don’t. No one is holding a gun to your head.
Making it so I can send my mats and gold and insure I am getting the high quality I want in no way affects what jobs you (or anyone else for that matter) do or not.
I am quite aware that many crafters consider themselves and their recipes “SUPAH-ELITE” and won’t get out of bed for anything less than several thousand gold. This change wouldn’t hurt your profiteering in any way. It would just make communication easier and guarantee that I, as the buyer, get what I paid for.
I know, I know… “But fair market rules don’t favor me…”
What is Supah ELite here?? concentration is not infinite ,we have 1000 concentration .At most we can do - a 5 star a day with max skill . Its a scam if you are giving 50 g and lower grade mats .
So if as a consumer you want a minimum grade then we as producer also want minimum grade and cut. Fair is fair.
