iv started taking up tanking again cause i actually like tanking. my tank JUST hit 80 like 2 hours ago. im doing TW so i can do my 5 of them and move onto something else. i clearly cant tank half the dungeons mobs. but yet i get smooth brained individuals who do that. get me killed. and complain when i die cause i cant tank hjalf a dungeon yet.
STOP PULLING EVERYTHING. idc how fast you wana go i cant tank that much crap yet
Do what I do… let them try, then let them die, and laugh as you kick them. They wanna pull it, they can tank it. I’m over the whole “path it to me”. My paladin should not have to pull rabbits from hats cause they are in a rush. My friends and guildmates know better, which is why my pugging is one dungeon or LFR for every 30 regular runs I do with people I know.
I really do just try to kick back and let them path it to me, but Timewalking Classic is NOT the Rookery. 6 packs of trash will leave us DEAD because of the scaling issues. I can’t have some braindead bonehead of a lvl 17 bring my LvL 80 4 diferent packs of mobs 50 feet in front of us, while I am trying to keep my aggro on the 4 packs I already have. Only so many times I can use my bubble, drop consecration, throw my hammer, and use my epic heal to survive death. People who have never tanked, or quit tanking, have ZERO clue about the challenges not just in the mechanics, but in the numbers. I am responsible to keep aggro off 4 other people and not piss off my healer. In a hurry? Go make a group in Customs and call it Classic TW speed runs. I will move at MY pace and let them die just before we vote kick
You’re expecting patience in a player-base devoid of it. I tend to wait and let the tank set the pace, but if it’s going too slow, I’ll just leave and do something else. We don’t want to be in dungeons for more time than is needed… be happy they didn’t just remove you and find someone new… just got to adapt to the situation.
The scaling’s horrific. Though I have to admit that I had fun tanking it as a Prot Paladin; it’s not often that a dungeon gets me to use my defensive cooldowns or makes me act as a second healer for the group (looking at all those healers who didn’t cleanse a single poison or disease)
Oh, as a Prot Pally, I have learned to just keep them in my rotation and never dip below 90%, cause one huge cleave could mean the difference between Holy Word and Lay on Hands
