Whatever you are planning to do (SoM2, Fresh, Classic+) it doesn’t matter, for the love of G0D PLEASE lower the respec cost. If you are worried about PvE balance add a 15-30min cooldown, problem solved
THIS IS THE RIGHT DECISION!
I don’t know what the right decision is here, but at least if you play WotLK, 50g is low enough that it doesn’t really matter at this point. I respec a couple times/week (even with Dual talents, because I pvp and pve), but that’s still less than the cost of weekly raid consumables.
Anyway, fwiw I feel like we’ve had this conversation before…
I hate the respect cost too. But that’s how the game works, so no 
anybody who is against this is someone that doenst play a flex class, or if they do they dont play multiple specs. I main warrior (tank) and made like 30 since 2019 and max’d like 12-17 somewhere in there. It is so annoying going full arms specs till lvl 50 so i can quest efficiently and then having to tank dungeons with 0 points in prot tree. Theres also no way im respecing for 1 dungeon run for randos either. Give dual spec at lvl 10 for free. And if u still disagree enjoy spamming for a hour + looking for a tank or healer just b/c of this reason
You don’t need to tank as prot at all. What are you on about.
Spec is short for specialization.
If you take that away where you can be anything on the fly what’s the point?
I agree with OP… hell, there is no good reason to even have costs on respec. It’s just one of those things people call a gold/money sink. I’m sticking with one spec and if people want me to change it to do content, they can pay for the change to it and from it.
