Please open up Demon Hunters for other races

Like for example, void elves, which are basically blood elves/high elves. The Demon within from Night Hold can be their demon form. Purple tattoos, “void hunters”. They are willing to use any power necessary to destroy demons even the void.

Draenei. Kil’Jaedan can be their demon form. After years of fleeing the legion, some Draenei are willing to sacrifice everything to protect their new home. Some red Draenei became disillusioned of the legion and decide to use their demonic power as demon hunters in order to redeem themselves.

Orcs. Kilrogg (after he drank demon blood in Warlords) can be their demon form. Some orcs were enraged for being controlled by the demons through their demon blood, and decided to become demon hunters and learn how to break free from the demons’ control and use the demon blood to their advantage.

Nightborne. They are basically night elves and can use the same the demon within or the night elves demon form as their demon form. Some nightborne refused to serve the legion so they were willing to use any power necessary, such as the Nightwell, and sacrifice everything to defeat the legion.

General lore on how this happened, during the events of Legion, with Lord Illidan slain, the demon hunters were vastly weakened and few in number. Knowing that they cannot defeat the new legion invasion with their current numbers, some highly skilled and high ranking demon hunters were sent out all over Azeroth to find people willing to sacrifice everything to protect our world.

Please open up demon hunters for other races.

I have always said that orcs and draenei should’ve gotten access to DH from the beginning. Both are present in Illidan’s army as fel orcs and broken respectively, and we know from HFC that fel can restore a cursed being to their original form (Iskar). And even beyond that, I’m sure there were plenty of mag’har and draenei survivors who could’ve wanted revenge against the Legion enough to seek Illidan out and join his ranks willingly.

Void elf/nightborne are both weird though and don’t work with the existing starting zone; void elves didn’t even exist until after the Legion’s defeat, and nightborne didn’t leave Suramar until roughly the same point so zero chance of one winding up on Outland to join the Illidari.

They could make a new starting zone for post-Legion demon hunters similar to how there’s two death knight starts, but there needs to be a really good lore explanation for why new recruits are gouging out their eyes and consuming demon hearts when the Legion is already defeated.

That is something I can see happening, with Blizzard moving forward to opening the all classes to all races. It’s just a question of Blizzard flipping the switch for the races at the same time or breaking it into segments, with say starting with the other elven races before unlocking demon hunters for everyone.

I just know that an easy option for the Nightborne would be for the surviving Felborne to be allowed to bend the knee, which Thalyssra could be convinced to allow on a account of bolstering their numbers or in the face of a threat.

Perhaps with the Void and Light going on it during Midnight, the Illidari find themselves with new recruits who distrust both cosmic forces?

Pretty sure they said “almost all races for all classes.” I don’t see DHs opening up, nor do I see other races ever becoming evokers.

Really? Perhaps the telephone game made me think all classes were opening up to all races.

Nominating: Zandalari Troll.

Nothing will look more absolutely awesome than seeing one of those glide out of the sky at you

if i recall they said that dh and evokers will be race exclusive
but the other races will be all classes down the line

Instead of adding more Demon Hunters, why not remove the current ones?

Pandaren Demon Hunters. When the Legion invaded the Wandering Isle we killed them and ate them thus giving us Demon powers.

I am sure they have a story arc where Illidian returns and creates a next generation to deal with another threat from either the Burning Legion or the Void.

Void and fel can’t mix. This is proof from warlords of Draenor HFC boss

https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Xhul%27horac

Xhul’horac completely absorbs the energy of both the Void and Fel portals, preventing any new creatures from coming through them, and rapidly destabilizing

Giving a void elf a crap load of fel like a demon hunter they would never withstand it

Being a demon hunter you are literally holding a demon soul within you.

Void elves are already trying to contain the void influence from overwhelming them you think they can have a demon soul under control too?

I’ve always thought DH’s should have a few more races in all honesty.

Hell boy goblins please xD
This game needs hell goblins. (Red inferno goblins)

I feel like people took the wrong lesson from that boss.

Void and Fel can and do mix. You have a lot of Demons empowered by the Void in the Legion.

The thing with Xhul’horac is that it was overloaded with Magic.

There’s an Ogre that destabilized and exploded in Deadmines, and he was just using more and more Arcane Magic, nothing else.

https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Glubtok

There’s a limit for how much magic a single being can be infused with.

In fact, it doesn’t even make sense to think of Fel and Void as incompatible, because the opposite of Fel is Arcane, and the opposite of Void is the Light.

Orc and draenei seem the logical choices. Both have historically had more experience with fel energy and demons than say, I don’t know… elves, for example.

I play a Vulpera or Tauren DH with the Atomic Recalibrator. Best toy ever.

They really need to just open all classes to all races. “But what about the lore!?” long since flew out the window (Lightforged warlocks, etc.) Just cut everything loose already.

Even for DH it could be as simple as SL DKs. A 30 second cutscene explaining that they decided to train more demon hunters just in case, take a portal from the Fell Hammer to SW/Org, and done.

I was really surprised orcs and draenei couldn’t be demon hunters. They are present for all the shenanigans and both races have every reason to devote themselves to eradicating demons.
