I mean, bg’s will help a lot… but its not like world pvp is going to disappear. There are queues to kill man.
i 100% agree let them leave a pvp server if they want to for one time only free transfer.

If op is like me, the bg release does not matter. I’m tired of pvp in general and want to move my characters to the pve server I rerolled on.

But you can play the game, you can engage (and die) in PvP combat and then run as a corpse. Is this not why you signed up for a PvP server is to engage in PvP combat ?

This is not what pvp servers were like at all back in the day, i signed up for occasional skrimishs and raids not what is currently going on, i dont see why anyone would be against allowing those of us who do not want to be in this current playstyle to transfer to pve servers, those who enjoy it can stay

What you are describing is a normal server not a PvP server. PvP server has always been PvP whenever anyone wants it not when you choose.

The only reason PvP servers weren’t like this in 2004 is because no one knew what they were doing.
Wanting things to be just like 2004 is a pipe dream. It is impossible, without the playerbase getting collectively lobotomized. The systems are the same, or as close to as they could manage, but the players are not. What you are seeing is the same thing that happened on PvP servers in Retail before they died, and is the same thing you see in War Mode today. It is the same thing you see on other open world PvP games. This is the reality of modern PvP. If you were expecting something else, you were either willfully ignorant, or hopelessly naive.
If you don’t like it, reroll, and work your way up through the economy and community of the server you’re going to, rather than being a destabilizing influence. I don’t care about your PvP server. I don’t want you negatively affecting my PvE server.
How far can you get though when you queue?
No what i am describing is the actual facts of playing on a pvp server in vannila
You only need the group leader to queue, or a friend/guildmate who is in a city.

No this current meta is the result of servers having populations over 10000 people where as in vannila most full servers had 2-3000 people

The most common complaint during Vanilla about PvP servers was how long it took to get through the battles and to BRM instances … most common complaint this week about PvP servers is … how long it took to get through the battles to get to BRM instances.
Sorry but if you are complaining about PvP on a PvP server then rerolling is (currently) your best option.

And it is the meta on pirate servers and in retail. Anyone who didn’t see this coming was either willfully ignorant of the reality of modern PvP, or they were hopelessly naive, believing that everything would be just like their half-remembered glory days.
You chose the wrong server type, based on nostalgia and not doing even a little research. No shame in admitting that. But that doesn’t mean you don’t have to pay for the consequences of your mistake. Reroll, and the pain ends.
