Howdy,
I wish to advocate against PTRs for testing new content. The main reason being that it takes away from the excitement on the release day:
Will it be as hard as people remember?
Can our guild handle it?
Will this Pserver strat still work?
Blizzard’s releases so far don’t seem buggy in terms of the new content, thus far. Why is this needed?
i agree, it can kind of take away from the “rediscovering”/authentic aspect of classic wow, and they’re rereleasing old content not new content so they should already know what to expect
because they have so little going on in their life this is the way they can boost their ego and feel they achieved something when in reality all they do is sitting 140 hour a week spamming some buttons
Guess we found someone that wants to exploit bugs early and exploit bugs often.
The idea of a test realm is to test the game for bugs - not to play content early.
Here is an idea - get your guild to not play the ptr, and you can clear it day one when it goes live - leave the ptr for those that actually want to test the game and fix it so it doesnt launch broken.
