Please nerf mobility in shadowlands

I’m on my phone, so i’ll keep this brief. Mobility has been creeping for several expansions and in my opinion this has had a detrimental effect on pvp. This is true for almost every class and spec in the game. There should exist more times that gap closers/creators are not available if they aren’t used efficiently.

I’m aware this is an unpopular opinion.

i used to be annoyed by travel form spam.
And then monks came around with their 10000yard mobility.
And then the demonhunters came around to dash around constantly to a point where i cant even follow them.
And then they fly up in the sky and blast me for millions of damage. Seems reasonable to me.

Or how about we don’t ruin PvE for the majority of the playerbase for the minority of PvP tryhards.

That’s when you kill them.

It sounds like pvp should be put in its own version of the game so it can be ruined in its own contained state without having to damage the Actual game.

Retail
Classic
PVP

There you go. Or you can just play an actual pvp game like call of doritos.

Demon Hunters and Mistweavers are the only ones that seem fairly ridiculous to me. IDK, I’d rather see them add better tools to classes to deal with mobility (maybe let ranged do more stuff on the move for example) instead of just gutting it.

Having mobility is fun in all aspects of the game. MoP had pretty insane mobility for every class in the game for example, but every class also had tools to deal with that.

Sorry, WoW is a PVE game and the core gameplay of PVE content should not be changed to favor PVP. For “fair” PVP rules you have arenas and battlegrounds.

DH > “Travel” form

Ret has more mobility than it ever has, still feels wheelchair compared to the S tier melee.

They already nerfed mobility for several classes coming into bfa. Monk and Druid both rely on theirs to survive, making up for their squishy nature. Dh is another story, but even they die easily if you can lock them down

Pvp is already a different game. You have more talents and abilities do significantly different amounts of damage. With mobility nerfed, melee burst can be buffed and I believe that would be a much healthier version of the game.

One of the biggest reasons mobility became an issue was because they changed the way healthpools work too. Which had some impact on PVE as well, you used to get more health depending on your armor class, so you may have had trouble catching a mage as a paladin, but if you could catch them, things would go much more in your favor.

Now with everyone having close to the same healthpools unless you’re a tank (assuming similar gear level) on top of mobility getting introduced with each new class even more, it just makes that issue worse.

Now, I don’t think we need to totally dial it as hard as it was in LK, however, I do think there should be some skewing to where the classes rocking plate, who usually have less mobility could use with some more meat on their bones to survive more mechanics in PVE and help them out in pvp as well.

Remember when Rogues were considered mobile?

Good times.

did you just say Ret has more mobility than it ever had?
Are you seriously telling me a 100% sprint for 3sec on 45sec cooldown + freedom + unbound freedom making freedom has 30% movement speed (WHEN TAKING THE PVP TALENT) is better than emancipate, long arm of the law / pursuit of justice and baseline +15% movement speed, double freedom?

Divine Steed is the most trashed mobility spell in the game. They removed the uniqueness mobility that ret had to be moved into a extremely basic sprint. I have to use Divine Steed and Freedom together to do the same thing Rogue’s sprint does, or what Enhance’s sprint does, or what Tiger’s Lust does, or what DK Wraith Walk does, all of them from only one spell. Because they all remove snares and roots when used and Divine Steed don’t. So you have to waste a gcd to use freedom, then another gcd to use divine steed. By the time you have used divine steed, your freedom has been purged already.

Sorry but the mobility we have since legion is pure garbage to what we once had, it was balanced and not overpowered at all.

says a druid? Seriously?
Play another class that isnt THE most mobile in the game. Then come and repost.

Whats the point of buffing melee bursts if the melee can’t reach the ranged player due to a mobility nerf anyway? Feels like it would be worse.

Im getting the feeling that the Druid OP wants to be able to outrun everyone in PvP, lol.
