Please nerf mage boosting/farming

So sick of the game being ruined by mages. No one levels properly anymore because everyone is just buying runs. This is worse than LFG. People are hitting 60 on characters they don’t even know how to play.

Plus the inflation it causes on the economy is BS.

I know there is a nerf coming to dungeon aoe farming in TBC but we need something now. I’m on a US West server, yet half the server seems to be Chinese people without a guild selling runs. They don’t even speak English and they respond back in Chinese letters. Like obviously they are farmers in the gold selling trade. It’s so annoying.

It is pretty much over, you know that right?

Yeah, stupid mages…it’s all their fault :stuck_out_tongue:

If we get Fresh Classic, I am making a mage.

Also in tbc the meta will switch to paladin boosters. Glhf.

yeah mages get an aoe cap in tbc so right now they rightfully get their time to shine

Human beings will always take the path of least resistance. Right now that is paying for boosts.

It’s largely cheaper to boost to 60 in that it takes more time to level to 60 normally than it does to make the gold.

So… yeah, overall boosting is just better.

Level boosting will exist in any iteration in the game, even in retail 50 to 60 boosting is being sold every day. It was the same in BFA, will be the same with Paladin boosting in TBC.

I doubt it exists as much in Tbc, sure a pally can boost stocks, but he can’t slow or abuse pathing.

He can’t run thru mara at 70 and grab 300+ mobs and bring them back to the starting area.

He won’t be able to do those big pulls in the 60-70 dungeons either.

Boosting will mostly die In TBC.

TBC boosting will be a different animal.

Its possible for a prot pally to solo a variety of 60 raid bosses at 70, ZG Raptor for example. However this isn’t a questing greens prot paladin, this is with gear. You think people will commonly be getting their farm alts fully attuned for raids, farm out sporregar rep for the shield, run shattered halls over and over again for the trinket, etc? It will be much much much more rare and wont work at all for TBC dungeons.

Yeah, it’s annoying, when posts are made to just prey on the emotions and feelings of people and divide us even more with misinformation. I’m not even going to try with this one.

In original TBC prot paladins were able to solo strat undead, and depending on their gear did so in as little as 1 pull. Yeah they will sell boosts in tbc. The oldest video I can find on YouTube is from tbc during the wrath ptr-patch. Which proves it existed back then. Here’s a link to that video as well as a link to a tbc private server where it’s being done under the 2.4.3 talents. https://youtu.be/xLickKO0VHY https://youtu.be/JNJI7iPFgu4

Something to remember is when you’re higher level, low level mobs have less of a chance to hit you plus their hits do less damage. A prot paladin in tbc has amazing reflective damage because none of their AoE damage is nerfed the way mages are. They have huge armor amounts, huge health pools, reflective damage, and nearly unlimited mana.

Sure but look how many dungeons they’re able to do it in compared to how many they’re not.

They always made money that way. I just think boosting is going to be very limited.

This is unfair. I’m sure it’s not all mages. I think we should focus on the truly evil mages which I’m sure we can all agree are gnome mages.

there is no boosting in TBC, all AOE gets a cap on number of targets it can hit. You’ll just have paladins running people through stocks and sfk. After that you are on your own.

False. There are videos of paladins aoeing in shadowmoon valley. And just because boosts might be slower doesn’t mean they’ll cease to exist. Paladins are amazing aoe tanks in tbc for a reason.

For the record, if you messaged me, I’d respond in Chinese letters too. And Bad English is my first language.

Ruin the mages game by taking their zanza buff outside mara.

unironically yes

That’s nice. The damage is done already, and unless that gold is wiped, it will be in circulation forever
