But you have time for 50 wipes of LFR N’Zoth? Even if you only make it 2 minutes into the fight (first split group), that is at least 2 hours. Throw in the half hour queue time and you are at my mythic raid time for a given night.
Whilst it was never intended to be a gearing tool it has served the purpose of having the highest available gear from casual content up until BfA.
I agree that it should be more of a lore and experience the story type thing, however that also greatly diminishes the pool of potential players queuing, especially when you consider the lack of those requeuing after seeing the content once.
For that to be addressed the content needs some form of reward in the terms of unique transmogs or decent ilvl items otherwise there is no need for players to participate.
Since BoA gear is far more accessible and has the same transmog and embassy rewards are better there isn’t any use for current LFR this patch.
I just beat it I ended with 120k dps. Your average DPS player in there was doing 20k, but some were as low as 9k 10k 12k in that range. If I didn’t kill the adds for them so fast they would not make the dps check.
There in lies the problem at this point in the expansion you should not be doing 20k dps.
Progression takes place with a dedicated group that works together with a leader who knows what’s up and helps them learn, not with an ever-changing group of randoms.
Having done the fight I see why LFR groups wiped on it a lot. Here is what I gathered.
-Tanks do not pick up basher tentacles in a timely manner and dps die.
-People do not know to go into the mind gate.
-If players do know to go in the mind gate they don’t use their necklace before they enter.
-A lot of players don’t know that they can restore sanity with their necklace button to start with.
-DPS is often too low to meet the dps check in the mind gate.
-People in mindgate stand it bad purple stuff and in fire and get mind controlled.
-While in the top phase the tank up there still usually has an issue with bashers.
no progress is just getting better at a fight. can be done with repeated pulls to learn or gear or anything else. LFR will be easier to do in 3 months than it is now as the general player base learns and gears.
What you’re demanding is that people who do LFR should get thrown into a no-win situation with zero leadership and next to no skills, because it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside knowing that they’re going to fail over and over again in a non-learning situation that you would never have learned to raid in.
But hey, all you want is to get rid of both LFR and people who do LFR, it’s a sure win for you!
People who buy an entertainment product like a videogame should certainly be punished for using it for entertainment, right?
I think they’ll have to change the insanity to instant death, or there’ll always be some players who goes insane and make the fight super hard for the rest.
For LFR perhaps change it so when the sanity bar goes to zero, the player dies instead. Or at least make them just another add and not raise sanity for rest of the team.
Even reading the guide you wouldnt know what to do. If you dont click your body you are killed instantly. The guide doesnt even mention that mechanic.
T/W/Th evening/night is actually prime time. PUGs are more rampant on weekends throughout the day, but a lot of organized guilds prefer during the week based on my observations.
HAHAHAHA… hahaha…
…
HAHAHAHAHA…
at least give him that after a bad ending cinematic.
The boss Okay, actually at least he’s the last boss of this expansion, what more could they ask for?
oh… yeah… we got more determination for each wipe, seriously, what more could you ask for?
Playing the game is not just only about raiding your reaching here.
Well, that was a pointless comment. You are more than welcome to explain how that comment is anywhere close to the realm of “reaching.”
I assume this was to me since it was right after my post and didn’t seem to be a reply to anyone in particular.
You are welcome to show me when I have said that in this thread but I won’t wait because I didn’t.
What I am actually saying is that No one should be thrown into a no lose situation where success I. Contingent purely on turning up (through an automated que no less) where zero leadership or skills are required just because people want to feel warm and fuzzy inside without having to deal with actually learning any fights.
There is nothing wrong with having a boss that a really requires players to do some things right. They should do it more in the future.
If you are “that” geared, you should have zero problems getting into a normal run, which to be quite honest will be loads easier to finish.
Your reasoning is a dumb excuse I see way too often.
The hour you sat in an LFR queue + hour spent in the instance is about how long it takes a competent group to clear a normal raid.
Nobody cares that you’re an adult with a job. Most of us are.
So you are disrespectful of people and people are disrespectful of you?
Seems fair.
So much irony in your situation. (And so little self-awareness.)
I said it before and I will say it again:
‘Yes, why would someone playing a video game for fun just jump in and play the game instead of going on youtube and having everything spoonfed to them. After all, who wants the challenge, excitement and sense of accomplishment of figuring out things on their own.’
Quick aside: Your character’s outfit is exemplary. You clearly take pride in how you visual present him. So why the purple shirt? Yes, I know it doesn’t show in-game but it would be so easy to don a white or red or even black one, so why? Just curious.
HOW DARE PEOPLE HAVE FUN AT THEIR 2ND JOB.
But for real majority of the time I go into mythic fights blind other than what I read from the journal and its usually fine. Imo “guides” and “walkthroughs” make gaming very boring. At that point night as well watch somebody stream the game and not play it myself.
And here is why putting actual content on queue (aside from bgs) is just bad for the game and community.
You just lost your case there right there. People sometimes have to learn how to do by failing you keep kicking people outyou get zero learning curve. in short you’re sabotaging yourself. Good day.
