Please merge low pop servers before DF

My server has slowly died over the years. It’s pretty much empty. I think my guild is one of the last active. I wish they would do something about this. It makes the game feel lonely.

They can only merge servers that are in the same time zones.

Yeah, my server is near death itself the Horde side flatlined, Alliance barely alive. We were unlucky and didn’t get connected when they were merging servers.

Shadowlands put a mager burnout on folks along with the other disliked changes they have been making.

I was going to transfer, but if I don’t see my friends list attendance go up by DF launch, I’ll just call it a lost cause and save my money.

They can connect realms from different time zones, as mine was originally in a different time zone until we were connected with other realms.

This is a main concern I have as well. My server (Feathermoon & Scarlet Crusade) has been among the lowest population servers for the last 3 expansions and it is only getting worse as this expansion has ran out of new content. Hopefully Blizzard will address the issue before Dragonflight so that we do not have to endure an empty server much longer. Typically they have done the connections in the middle of the last season of an expansion to get everything done and settled before a new expansion hits. If that holds true, we should see some connections later this year.

I just re-roll every expansion, so this isn’t a problem for me.

Levelling ain’t no thang anymore. It takes a week, casually, to hit 60.

Imo, just swallow the pill and re-roll. Supposedly they are making everything account-bound in DF anyway.

Only problem with that is I’ve made friends here. I just want a stable economy and to see people from my server.

they didn’t bother connecting anyone on the west coast I don’t think - they have always been packing up the east and central servers.

for a long while Stormreaver was doing fine as a medium/low population raiding server because almost all the people playing on there were horde. You still have 2 mythic raiding guilds in the top 500 worldwide.

Yes! At one time is was great. Even in BFA it was tolerable. Its dwindled down to nada. All the bigger guilds merged.

i think they could fit the entire active playerbase onto 1 server at this point.

No thank you. I want my server to remain low pop. Hell id be happy if it was just me on my server.

I finally gave up and paid to transfer to a server with people on it, I do sometimes miss the tumbleweed I was grouping with.

Why would blizz give you something free they know many will give in and pay for?

Good idea in theory, until you realize the biggest problem that I can foresee: names. Are people going to be forced to change names? Who gets the original name? No one will be happy about that. I’m all ears for possible solutions

I think I’m CRZ’d with you folks. I’d like to see us all Connected so we can just have fun together and help our economies. :slightly_smiling_face:

This is what I think should happen:

  1. Tons more Connected Realms
  2. Get rid of CRZ
  3. Turn sharding into layering

What realm are you on, your profile is hidden so I was unable to see it. I totally agree on all 3 of your suggestions.

Sentinels. We’re Connected with Kirin Tor and Steamwheedle Cartel.

(Sorry about the hidden profile. People are weird and like to watch who is typing and make snide remarks about how long it takes to type, so I hid the profile. You can actually go to the main Warcraft website and search for someone’s armory if you ever feel the desire. :slightly_smiling_face:)

Names are not an issue with realm connections, since your name is technically different from the other connecting realm by keeping it tied to the realm name. For example my connected realm of Feathermoon/Scarlet Crusade, I have 2 toons named Lokri, one on each. One is Lokri-Feathermoon the other is Lokri-Scarlet Crusade, the names of people and guilds are tied to the original server but the connected servers share the over all economy, zones and can belong to guilds on any connected server regardless of your original server.

Ah yes, Sentinels is a realm I thought we might get connected to during the last round of connections. The RP realms are all way down except for WA and MG. Some of my friends think the RP realms could be combined into either of those large realms…

I only hope the RP realms get merged. NOT sharded. I really wouldn’t mind absorbing the lower pop servers but all the phasing in and out of existence is detrimental to RP servers.

if you’re server is “dead” this is a good time to get them mounts from open world and see the BMAH
